Please help. When I run the scenerio or data base editor, I receive the following message and the game freezes:
Windows-No Disk
Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x7598023c
0x84DF6144 0x7598023C 0x7598023c

Can you elaborate?
What version are you using? H3.6.3? ANW? HCE? something else?
Is this a problem with any Database or only specific one(s)?
Please be as detailed as you can in order for others to try and help you.

I'm running Harpoon 3 ANW version3.8. I cannot copy an image of the error. When I run Harpoon3Editor or Harpoon3ScenerioEditor, the game initializes and then I see the following:
Windows-No Disk
Exception Processing Message 0xc0000013 Parameters 0x7598023C 0x84DF6144 0x7598023C 0x7598023C

Does the Game Engine run?
When was the last time the game, ScenEdit, or DB editor ran properly? Was the patch recently installed?
Were you able to run anything under the 3.7.0 installation?
It's a bit drastic, but have you tried to re-install ANW from scratch? (Take care to make a back up of any files you have if you want to try this as they will be wiped out with the Uninstall command.)
I get the same error using 3.6.3. Windows - no disk. I also have the abort - retry and continue buttons. I click on continue 4,5 times and the box clears and I run the game fine. Sometimes I get the error, sometimes not. Doesn't seem to make a difference with the database either. I use DB2k and the PlayersDB.

I have seen the same phenomenon. So has Freek Schepers.
I don't know what causes it. Thankfully, I am usually able to clear my problem by simply re-booting. I think that Freek has not been able to find a way around his problem except to keep hitting the cancel key until it disappears.
Sorry, that I cannot offer anything helpful in this matter.
Yes, I've seen exactly the same.
However after reinstall it did actually go away now, both in 3.6 and in ANW. I still have no idea what caused it.

Hello,
yes, this is a weird problem. Experienced it for years on Harpoon 3 and then ANW; found the solution ( at least I think so) only few months ago.

Windows-No Disk

I think it has to do with using USB ports before playing Harpoon: Plug in a stick, plug it out. Then start Harpoon. YouŽll get the message window. Reboot - and itŽll work fine because the system has forgotten about the stick.
Plug it in again - and youŽll face the problem once more.
So the rule of thumb is: Never use your USB ports before running Harpoon.
Good luck!

Interesting. I certainly hope that it works. My USB port is unused, so I don't think it was the cause of my troubles.
My personal hunch was that it had something to do with me running multiple programs. The problem seemed to appear on my computer if I was in the middle of running another application and then either used alt+tab to switch back to H3 or dropped down to the desktop and then over to H3.
I'm glad to see that there are now three possible "solutions" to this problem. I agree that this problem seems to have also appeared in ANW. I can't find the specific message on Matrix, but ISTR that it said something about the game being triggered into trying to gain access to all the drives on your computer. Everytime the user hit Cancel, it moved onto the next drive until it had gone through the entire list of possibilities.
