Hi

I am making new Middle East scenario. It is still in it's alpha stage, map is nearly done and OOB's and events will soon follow. This scenario will include:

-Bn/Bde size units
-10km/hex map (it is a fairly accurate map of ME wich is made with help of latest issue of National Geographic (october 2002)
so all major places rivers etc will be included(it is a lot of work;)
-fairly accurate OOB's for participating nations such as:
-Irak
-Iran
-Syria
-Jordan
-Lebanon
-Saudi Arabia
-Gulf States (UAE,Qatar,Bahrein,Kuwait)
-USA
-UK
-Turkey
-Israel
-Germany/France/Italy and other NATO countries
and liberation/political movements like
-PLO
-Hammas
-Hizbollah
-PUK (Kurdish rebels)
-PKK and KDP (idem).
So as you see it is a lot of work, so any and I mean any help would be very helpfull (plus you get your name on scenario credits

What is the general setup of the scenario? War between the West and the Middle East? Iraq invasion of Saudi Arabia? Arab invasion of Israel?

Also can you send the map to colonialgames@hotmail.com when you have a chance? I'd like to take a look at it.

Well, Chuck

The idea is that US/UK/Saudi and Gulf States(the latest only in support role i.e airports and ports) initialize the attack. It will be a sort of War in the Gulf 2 (well based on the current world events, you know Dubbya VS Saddam;)
But then, then I want the things to heat up throwing in Syria and Jordan through some event or multiple events, and if the things begin to look very black for this Arab alliance finally Iran joins the war in one big Middle East standoff. And in background of all this you will have to deal with Intifada/Kurdish rebbelions/ongoing war demonstrations etc. So this the story as I have it at this moment. As for the map I will send you a copy, as soon as I get it done in it's first stage (I still have parts of Iran/eastern Syria to do.I would appriciate any comments on this work because this is my first serious project in years of TOAW. I'am a player since the days of TOAW 1 and I usually browse TOAW forums
not being active in discussions. I have done a scenario way back in 2000 for TOAW 2 it is called Operation Crimp on wargamer.com and it is downloaded a quit a few times for a silly little scenario.
So this scenario will be my first big project in years. I will keep you all informed on progress as will need playtesters later on.
Thanx
