Having review the manual I wanted to try and get more information on range effect on AP and Sabot ammo.

The manual states: AP shell (point blank range) in CM. However has the range gets greater the penetration should also decrease.

Question is by how much. Some types of ammo have a greater penetration factor at close range but are not as effective at long range.

ASL the other game I play all this information if given to you by charts that you cross-reference.

Does anybody have any knowledge of any form of charts that are considered usable for SP?

There is a pretty good thread on this over at the CAMO section of the Shrapnel Games Forums;

Armor Penetration Model? (http://www.shrapnelcommunity.com/threads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=wspmbt&Number=402455&Forum=,c18&Words=Penetration&Searchpage=1&Limit=25&Main=402455&Search=true&where=sub&Name=&daterange=1&newerval=5&newertype=y&olderval=&oldertype=&bodyprev=#Post402455)

All in all though, not much information will be provided as you can deduce from this quote from Andy (aka Mobhack);

" . . . we are always getting requests for the "armour penetration model". We cannot divulge this as although we have worked on it, it is SSI's proprietary base code. It is also not just a formula - there are 1000's of lines of code involved as well."
