So there I was, hauling concrete and soil samples for a cool $64K when I stumbled across this abandoned frigate:

Unfortunately, I have no way of towing this guy to a starbase for salvage. Anybody have a tow truck? If you'll pick it up, I split the turn around fee with you. Must be worth at least 60K.

Let me know, but hurry! I saw a few other ships nosing around the derelict the last time I flew past.

BTW, that's my 'Shrimp Boat' orbiting the craft. Still working on putting a missile launcher on that thing. But I do have a duel light pulse laser with a multi-freq crystal...so keep your distance!

You can do that kind of stuff? Pretty cool.

So is there any kind of huge organization or something that is the law, and you have to fly under the radar doing odd jobs because of your cargo, maybe because you have a fugitive brother and sister on board!!;)

You can do just about anything in the game. What other MMO's consider "griefing" (i.e., harassment and dirty-dealing) is actually encouraged in EVE! That is why some of the corporate and alliance wars can get so crazy. I once read how a rival corporation assassinated the board members of a competing corp and then initiated some type of hostile takeover. Since the board was dead, they couldn't stop it! LOL!

That's part of the game. Safe space in EVE is governed and patrolled by the Concordat. If you act up in territory under their control, they will hunt you down and/or put a bounty on you. But player-owned corps and alliances can do the same with their own code of law in their own space (they can even set tax rates on all trade). There's lots of illicit cargo you can traffic in. Just don't get caught! LOL!

Speaking of which, I just watched Serenity last night. Not bad, I just wish every planet didn't look like southern California.

Did you ever salvage this puppy, or is it still there? :bite:

wreck it and salvage the wreck.

You might-my buddy and I are going to try this-have one guy in an Indy the other in a shuttle and the shuttle pilot bails and boards the unmanned ship. The indy takes the shuttle and you leave no evidence trail.

It's an unproven tactic and the biggest problem we can see is you need to have the skills to fly the target vessel. I have Frigate, Destroyer and Cruiser skills for 2 of 4 races. I haven;t even touched the more advanced ships like Interceptors, Interdictors, Recon Ships, Electronic Attack Ships, etc.
