View Full Version : Two questions I haven't found answer for...
#1: Is the any way to zoom out the mini-map screen for those big scenarios?
#2: Is there any way to enable the formation markers (the grey outline around other units of the same formation as the selected unit) when Fog of War is turned on?
Nessin:
Probably better that you ask with a reference to the platform, version; your interested in, eh?
Both your questions could be answered to different versions of the ToaW games, so which one are you interested in 'acow' or 'toaw 3' ?
If you've just gone to T-3, there's a 'readme' in your root directory that you should look at, and then the readme for the new patch, which if you've not done it, ...........gasp!

#1 No.
#2 It does not depend on FoW, select View -> Options -> Formation Highlight -> Visible

I should have identified TOAW III, which is all I have, I'll give you that. However I have looked through the manual and readme and while I can respect the standard (if much nicer) RTFM comment, there is a lot of stuff to go through and it's easy to miss one or two items.

Much appreciated, I thought the formation section was tied to Fog of War because I only had the problem when I turned on the Fog of War option.

Somewhat. Turn on "Movies". A .bmp file will be written to the save directory at the end of each turn that shows the entire micro-map situation.

 Your a Good Man, Nessin.....even tho i really didn't mean that as a RTFM comment, eh?
Miss one or two items? Dude! It's easy to miss one or two Major Sections!!! Not to mention trying to figure out all the ramifications of anything one reads concerning 'the points in detail'..........
Ask away, eh?!? That's what these forums are for! The learning curve for this game is fairly steep, but your among friends, and even the 'Master Coder' will be reading your posts now and anon and giving replys, so ask what you will, eh?
Unlike other games, we cherish our newer people, hell, I are one!
