Hi all

When I play skirmish battles (either things like Tsushima or computer-created) it is VERY frustrating, when.. after a long pursuit, when I have nearly reached a good distance to give the enemy ships a battering, this text window will pop up and tell me that the battle has ended.

Is there any way to steer clear of this? Some randomly created scenarios never even offer a chance to fight, because one side will run away and your fleet is not fast enough to get them before that... UUURGH "battle has ended" message.

this really should be fixed! :shy:

I agree with you. It's one of the manifestations of what I call the "AI Insta-panic Syndrome". I bug Norm about it every month or so. But I guess he's got bigger fish to fry at present.

Agreed! Two times out of three, if I set up some scenario and ships are a fair distance apart, the AI will turn and run away............. with no hope of catching them................ and then the resultant message. Very annoying.

+1.
Half generated battle situations are unplayable because of that.

Within the next patch or 2, hopefully the madness with "Insta-Panic" in random battles will end.

I can say that this issue is being worked on now. And should be fixed or a whole lot better .
