Let me first premise this with, "Everything is going very well, even if it sounds maybe like it isn't."
I figured I would kill several birds with one stone here. (Which is an unfotunate analogy, as just yesterday I had to take a pigeon to the vet to have it put down as it fell into Frances' place of work with a broken leg and mangled wing...:( ).
As I have informed my opponents, I have been working in the office 8 hours a day now (instead of working from home), limiting my online/PBEM time. This week that time in the office has balooned to 10-12 hours a day (for reasons benficial to myself, actually, but it still limits my online time). I therefore have not gotten off any turns in the last week+.
About Wednesday I was given the absolutely awesome chance to join Ben Turner's Grand Strategy Game III, which I couldn't refuse as this is a huge opportunity. A player dropped off very suddenly and I am now forced (well, not forced) to scramble to catch-up and fill in for him.
With all that said and done I also have to try to organize the New Players Workshop (which is far more fun than work). But it does take some time. I was planning on making all the match-ups and some re-organizational stuff today, but that won't happen.
Now, today I was supposed to do all kinds of things, unfortunately, I am preparing to go to my Mother's place, for it is her birthday tomorrow, and that will involve me making a 2.5 hour drive there tonight. My car was in dire need of some repairs that I had been putting off....(oops!). So, I have so far spent about 3 hours of my day walking back and forth between the shop and my house (as my car is at the shop).
Now, as if all that wasn't enough, my internet is on the fritz. Do to that I have been unable to make the match-ups, d/l any of my turns to do, or contact Ben Turner about my efforts to catch up on GS3. My email is unreachable, I can't find out how the Blue Jays are doing (my fav sports team), and I had to wait for-ever to get this new thread to load up. However! My mother has the internet at her place and, providing my net woes are not an ISP thing (my Mother has the same ISP), her net should work and I should, at least, be able to get the match-ups done and set the Workshop in motion, though other things will have to wait.
You'll notice that many things that I would usually respond to have gone unanswered on the forum, as well, due to my net woes.
Fortunately being given a job moderating the forum is no work at all, so far. WOOSH!! :D
Well, I think that's all. With luck I'll be up and running, to a degree, tonight.
My appologizes (hmmm...can't even spell that) to all, but know that I am working to rectify the problem! TALYHO!
Had to try to post this three times just to get it up.
