Yugoslavia,

is it worth invading?
I know the train routes are there....and offers a little bit more room to invade greece but overall, wouldn't you say the pay off is not worth it?

Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria will inevitably join the Axis anyways...no?

Anyways...a wee discussion would be cool about the pain of Yugoslavia for the Axis. Unless you position correctly.....

Just finnished my conquest of Yugoslavia used Axis minors will make the invasion of Greece easier but before that happens ive got partisans to surround and destroy i wonder if they reconstitute,do you get anything for Yugoslavia Mussolini will be happy but it may cost me i have to garrison troops there especially with partisans on the loose.

I agree. The only reason Hitler invaded was to appease Musollini with helping him invade Greece.

Yeah, those partisans reconstitute. You will have to garrison the country, but the Bulgarians and Croatians will be avail for that purpose.

Main problem with Yugoslavia is the Limestone countryside, sharp cliffs deep canyons, lot of caves where to hide and few invading roads. Foot soldiers could escape by mountain paths when motirized forces need to follow roads.

It was mainly a partisan war and the classical ethnico-religious war between commies/serbs, croats and muslims.

Well I guess my wargaming view is that you invade it as late as possible, and then do as little fighting as possible to maintain access to the main rail lines.
