Playing the Next War - Tension scenario and the Czechs opted to not join the fight to speed the inevitable triumph of world communism. However my NATO opponent ruthlessly invaded the territory of the peaceful Czechs. Shouldn't they activate and join the Warsaw Pact? Been two turns since the invasion and no activation. Are they ever going to activate? Also, I've been pounding NATO airfields with my missile forces. Do the losses caused by these missile attacks get exaggerated in the Air Briefing screen like normal air to air losses? Are they accurate in the Combat Report screen?

Nope. In fact, if certain Czech cities fall, they may even revolt.

The combat report and Air briefing function the same regardless of the source of losses.

Interesting. Is your reasoning that if they didn't join in the first place and NATO was strong enough to invade then there even more likely to revolt? Will Czech units in cities defend them normally against NATO attacks or should I get some units into the threatened city? I'm about to breakthrough to the Rhine in the north so I think this invasion will be short lived but I suppose I had better find out.

The risk of revolt is independent of whether their units were released. The czech units will defend normally (although remaining in Garrison deployment) unless and until a revolt is triggered. In that case they are withdrawn. This is detailed in the briefing.

I'm playing the latest version vs the Warsaw Pact PO. I never played any post WW2 scenario.
This is a killer!
