Interested Party:

I am new to HPS games. At least against a live opponent. Not new to wargaming started back in the 1960s with Avalon Hill play by Mail games. I've been away from competition for some 20 years. Now that I have time I'd like to return to my old hobby.

Am looking for someone to play a campaign game (HPS's Waterloo) with. Will be my first game against a live opponent. Am happy to play either side and anyone at any level. Winning is nice but playing is what it's all about.

Hi Iley,

Welcome to the forums! I'll take you up on that challenge...I don't have the quickest turn around rate there is, but I don't dissapear either, so we'll be sure to finish the game. Drop me a line to discuss the details further: Rich at hist-sdc.com

If you are interested in a second game, or anyone else out there wants a game--I have wanted to check this out also (I do have some experience). I prefer the French, but am okay with anyside really.

Gentleman:

I would like to accept your offer to play. I thought I understood the play by mail procedure. After one failed attempt to create a game I see that I may have been wrong about that. Gameplay I'm okay with creating and sending a move I don't quite have a grasp of yet. Working on it.

Here's a short tutorial on how to get a PBEM game going:

However, its best to have a discussion with your opponents on what optional rules you want to use, who plays what side, etc. before you fire up a game.
