In addition to gameplay fixes, the graphics have been radically upgraded; thread above has comparison screen shots

Try this post in particular.
I agree a good bit better. Still wont help the longevity though. I'd say youd get bored after 2 months tops. Too few units too little depth, no ability to Mod it so no matter what kind of scenarios guys make it will still end up with the Syrians (or insert other Arabs here) as the enemy.
Fine graphics just cant substitute for good in-depth gameplay, well for me that is.

I agree with Geordie. CMBB & CMAK remain more fun to play as they have far more multiplayer "replayability."
Poor Old Spike

I might be imagining it but 1.03 seems to be playing much more slowly on my poor old PC almost to the point of being so jerky as to be almost unplayable, even with tiny-sized battles and the graphics on 'fastest'..
Also I see 1.03 hasn't fixed the unrealistically-fast bullets, shells and missiles which zip around like in an arcade game.
For example, fire a Javelin in SF and it flies far too fast like something in a cartoon film.
This vid shows how it should look - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH4PkOhrSn0
Looks like you may have processor problems there as it flies just fine in my games.
There are limits to what an 8088 will do Spike.
There is a thread floating around at BFC that shows some benchmarking pointing to lower frame rates after 1.03. May have something to do with improved graphics. I will say that I have not noticed it.
