Thanks, I am looking at these now. There is some awesome footage in the films , and I am going to try to take a look at all of them there.
Thanks again for the heads up on these films.

There's a particular sequence in the linked film, where a torpedo boat crosses through a line of ships to take up station. With the speed, her size and degree of helm, you almost think she's going to heel over. Adds perspective to the destroyer actions at Jutland.

One thing that made me look was how close the Torpedo boats where to the main ships that they where covering.
And in the films how close they got to there target ships without being knocked out by cannon fire. It does bring a whole new side to how one thinks the battle was fought.

Cool! Thank you for the link, Crinius!
Watching the footage really makes me wish that DG had those big, roiling clouds of artillery smoke! (maybe too processor-intensive for DG).
Also reminds me how I wish you get the darn camera closer to the water! I want to see ships in profile, as they would appear from other ships! Maybe the current limit was set to prevent problems with the camera POV colliding with a ship, but who cares, just let the camera "get swallowed"! I can always move it (I'm moving it all the time anyway).
Wishes, so many wishes! :-)
Thanks for posting that! It's amazing how much smoke comes from the guns. Putting smoke like that in DG would require a super-computer!

Yep! Not just the amount of smoke.............. the way it lingers. No wonder confusion set in after just a few salvoes!
Of course, if this was accurately portrayed, my computer would never reboot. It would have surrendered.:)
