Well I decided to take the game to the next level. For those of you who already have the CD can you tell me what you like about it?

Will I be able to play PBEM games in progress once I start using the CD?

Well I decided to take the game to the next level. For those of you who already have the CD can you tell me what you like about it?For me its the larger map resolutions (on screen) and the extended map editor.
The screen resolutions are the main thing for me, it looks so much better ,but found this out only after i purchased it. this makes such a differance that it don't play the WW2 version anymore
(maybe when the bank account is out of the red again i buy that one also )
i bought the CD for the extended map editor.

Jack,
When you get the cd, change the name of the path to "winspmbtCD" or similar as you install the game.
Then, you can carry on the PBEM games you have in progress on your old, "ordinary" Winspmbt game without losing them.
Me - I've got winspmbt, winspmbtcd (for Campaign play) and winspmbtcdpbem (but I can't remember what that's for.....) ;)
John.
PS - still no e-mail service!

I guess I will have to delete the old system before installing the new?

No, that's not necessary.
By re-naming the system-filled destination when you install the cd as I suggest, you create a whole new file/directory. If you have a reasonably-sized Hard Drive, it shouldn't be a problem.
PS I'm back from holiday.
PPS I've got e-mail again!

I got my CD today, I created another directory as well. With the PBEM games I have in progress with the old system, can I copy them to the other PBEM directory without compromising the games I have in progress?
Thanks in advance.

Don't think so, Jacques.

DD's helpful notes here:

will show you the way. Basically, the cd is V1.0. so you've got to patch it all the way up to v3.5. Don't forget to change the pathway to your new cd version as you install the patches!
