Here is a little AAR of my recent CMSF game with MPisi from BoB.

We played a scenario where I had to attack a Syrian Village. I had a platoon of Stryker infantry backed by 3 105mm cannon-armed Striker Mobile Gun Systems (MGS), 120mm mortars, and a couple MG teams.

On turn 1.....my Strykers (with infantry on-board) started to move out. They were all supposed to crest a hill overlooking the village on Turn 1. Crazy waypoint plotting resulted in some units not moving and a general traffic jam. Mind you, my units had to move in a straight line over open terrain and the units were not even close to each other! No tricky waypoint plotting.

Turns 2 and 3 are spend sorting out the traffic jam.

On turn 4 some of my MGS' crest the hill and spot 4 BMPs. No one shoots on either side as the Tac AI does not appear to automatically shoot at targets.

On turn 5, I manually order my units to fire at the BMPs. They are all destroyed by the first shot. The shocking thing about the modern battlefield is how lethal it is! On this turn, I also ask my infantry to dismount. The ramps come down on the Strykers, but my men dont come out.

Turns 6 and 7 are spend trying to get my infantry to leave their Strykers. They dont. Enemy 120mm mortar fire starts falling around my Strykers. Since the Styker doors are open, a few men are wounded by Shrapnel. On these turns I also start firing MGS rounds into the village. Due to a sound bug, I can hear enemy soldiers screaming and talking as they are hit. Now I know which buildings the bad guys are in!

Turn 8......not only will my infantry not dismount, but my now my Strykers won't move!

Basically, my whole attack has bogged down due to bugs and we are halting the game in a few turns if I can't get my units moving!
