I've been mulling over the idea of trying to create a slightly futuristic scenario of a battle between the NKPR, ROK, and 8th Army forces. I was hoping to use a plausible, if not entirely accurate, OOB, but collating the info is confusing, and a bit daunting. It seems there is a lot of confusion between sources as to just what the North has in the way of a TOE for one thing. There is a lot of info on 8th Army units, but the structure is complex. Maybe I'll just use the 2nd ID (the premier unit of the 8th) to back up a hypothetical "Light Corps" that consists of the 25th ID(L), 10 ID(L), and the 7th ID(L). Or I might just lie down until the urge passes...

The research phase is always the most difficult portion of scenario design. I hear what you're saying about North Korean sources, but there is also an advantage to this. How many people are experts on the NK army? Not many, so I doubt that many people would get upset if you abstracted that a bit. Also, CPangracs is working on Korean theater stuff for ATF. He might be able to turn you onto some good OOB sources.

(Sigh) OK- Guess I didn't want to sleep that bad after all. I'll see what I can come up with. It'll give me something to take my mind off of getting my butt kicked during the OPFOR tournament...
