I am currently reading a great little workbook called Mastering Tactics. Maybe you all have already heard about it. It is a publication of the Marine Corps Gazette and I believe that it is publically available (the price on the backof the copy I have is $14.95). It's a workbook for Tactical Decision Games which as simple tactical situations requiring rapid decision making. They are used as a technique to accelerate tactical decision making skill acquisition (used in conjunction with field exercises, higher fidelity sims, and other experiences). They are classroom exercises that can take from 15-60 mins. They present tactical situations from squad level to Bn/Bde(?) level. The really interesting part is the discussion of alternate solutions to the situations and the tactical lessons of the military art. If you can get your hands on it, I highly recommend it. It also refers to historical parallels (some of the scenarios are historical scenarios disguised a modern day problems), and has a couple of interesting articles on military decision making.
