So it is game of FiTE... I have droped some brandenburgs behind Russian arty and made them retreat before combat... after I have initiated the combat on one hex that arty that retreated participated in combat ie. lend support to two combats!
I was thinking that it would be in mobile status after it retreated or not?

also I have a feeling that sometimes those Neberwerfer (just a feeling, didn't proved yet!) support combat even if they have lost too many movement points and teoretically cannot support combat (they are range 1 so they are at tac sup and at front line). This last one needs test.

The first problemo is there. No I was not drunk or anything, it was FiTE turn 12 near Bryansk. Soviet Arty is Orel something (red symbol).

Dicke Bertha you will get my turn today!! No bridge bombing this turn, but Bryansk is captured :)

It would be in retreated, reorg, or routed, status after that.
I have seen units in retreated status (with less than full MP) able to do some strange things (like board helos), but haven't seen this. Is there any possibility that it was another arty with the same/a similar name?
We'll have to create a test scenario and see.

If an arty unit (any range) is in tac support with no MPs left it will support (providing it passes the comm check) every attack within its range. Effectively tac support with no MP is the same as dug-in, regarding artillery supporting combat.

One of the bugs that we fixed in TOAW III was the "artillery in retreated deployment supporting combat" bug.

OK, Jamiam alredy answered this.

Yes, but during turn I think that engine should not allow let's say arty that has 4 out of 12 movement points to support battle in first phase (if that happens, must check). If you put it on direct attack that would eat your phases... Hmmm...

There should be a punishment for capturing Brjansk so quickly. At least for the Soviets there will be lead medals delivered... :D

T12 and the entire Soviet deep defense is about to collapse! Nice work Mario!

Good to hear that bug issue is resolved, sorry to hear it didn't do me more good anyway!

I just got lucky as my Kradshutz kampfgruppe chased that HQ :yummy:

Everything is still not over - if you survive till winter I am toasted ;)
That will be challenge but for both sides - I already am feeling battle of attrition and rarely use tanks now. Lot's of regiments are also are resting, I don't like to push all forces too hard (those with red status, low readiness and supply - overall gives very bad combat performance - but sometimes good prof. helps there).

Turn will be returned this weekend Mario. Biggest problems at the moment is wrongly dispositioned troops, to few reinforcements, and heavy interdiction. Apart from German advances that is... ;)

No prob, take your time...
Reason for heavy interdiction is that all my bombers are on Interdiction, and nobody is flying Combat Support missions, of course I use Combat Support when it would be really nececary to add that extra punch...

Heh, I rest them when they are on orange but even yellow is ok for interdiction. Last turn you have shot many Me 109's, and esp. Ju 88 (31), not so many others but I notice that Red Air force recovers...
