If I read the game briefing correctly, as the Axis, give the Allies +3, while leaving the settings alone when playing the Allies vs the AI.

As the Axis, I had a 79 to 21 victory over the AI.

As the Allies, I had a 93 to 7 victory over the AI.

I plan to play again as the Allies with the Axis getting a +3.

=====

The Allies played very agressively with the +3. It was on my last shot with the 'Schrek that I got a kill on the Stuart. Without which, I likely would have lost. One of my squads and the fire team were broken, and the 'Schrek team KIA. I won by holding off the Allied attack on the objectives. The Allied forces came in as a tight group, massing its firepower. Only after taking out one of my HTs, did the Stuart and the jeep move forward. The two HTs stayed back providing long range, but effective, covering fire. The Stuart stayed at the edge of the square, firing at whatever targets it saw. Eventually, one HT came into the square, to be taken out by the 'Schreck at 225 meters. The Stuart finally moved into the square, to be taken out at max range, with a turret hit.

From that point, it was clear an Axis victory was at hand. It was also after the demise of the Stuart, that the jeep routed the Axis forces on the Axis right flank. The three HQs stayed in the cafe, as well as one HT crew, making a fairly strong defense. The one squad that could not be transported to the ville trekked cross-country to take position on the top floor of the church. From there, it maintained a decent defense of the left flank.

=====

The Axis AI was extremely timid, sending forces piecemeal into the fray. One HT, the truck and the Kubelwagen were left in the rear by games end. All units that did try to defend the cafe came cross-country one at a time. I easily picked them off. the most spectacular moment was when my M3 HT killed one of the German ATs with its .50 cal. Must have been a critical hit, because the HT blew up like a Sherman hit by an 88.

I brought the Stuart in first, and stopping about 350 meters from the square. From there I started firing at likely targets. One HT and the jeep took up flanking positions, with the HT dropping off its squad in the woods to the Stuart's right. The White SC dropped of the HQ with that squad, then crossed to the left flank to assist the jeep. The last HT dropped off its squad to the cover to the left, then crossed around behind the right copse of trees, to provide flanking cover.

By this time the German SPW was aflame. After routing one or two of the HQs, the infantry on the right rushed the church, and took up position on thetop floor. The HT took to the right of the church, to provide additional cover fire. It was shortly thereafter when it took out the German HT.

The jeep went behin the cottage to the Allied far left, to cover the road. The White SC and the Stuart started to creep into the town pouring fire into whatever location they received any fire.

When all was said and done, the Axis had one Kubelwagen, a truck, one HT, a reduce HQ, a broken crew, and perhaps a reduced squad left. If the Germans had made a concentrated assault, it would likely have been a diferent story.
