Alternately titled A Lesson in Humility, A Walk On the Caucasus pits a hypothetical 4ID and British TF Merlin against a larger enemy force which is falling back and reorganizing for a counter attack.

This scenario leaves a great deal of room for creativity, as it is up to YOU to make it to OBJ Slam. Some graphics are on the map .jpg, some are in the Blue scenario file (to save the number of graphics you can place on the map). Feel free to alter as you will and even post refinements or changes,...whatever. It may be a decent starter scenario for people to get a feel for how larger forces are best built in DA.

I just want to say thanks for posting the scenario. I will give it a look. If you have any more you can post, that would be great.

I'm curious about the signal battalions which are included as part of 4ID. These are user-defined units, but what purpose do they serve? If they have any special capabilities I don't see them.

I also see that the DMMC has a log supply of 500%. How does this setting effect the unit's ability to conduct its primary support mission?

Very interesting OOB. Similar in concept to what I'm currently working on, but I don't believe I can go to that level of detail as I'm working with an entire corps rather than a division+. Thanks for posting this.

The signal BN is just a shell - there are no inherent capabilities. The DMMC was elevated to 500% to replicate approximately 3-5 days of supply during intense combat. It does not effect its mission.

Question: I see that the division elements are named DTG. What exactly is that? I thought a mechanized infantry division was called a MID and armored division a TD. Also, the corps element is called OSC. What does that stand for?

Thanks in advance.

I'll ask in the AM, but I BELIEVE DTG stands for Division Tank Group, and OSC is Operational Support Command. These are terms for the OPFOR in this scenario.
