I just switched from a 17" CRT monitor to a 19" wide screen, now my CM is slightly off center. The whole game screen is still on but it's slightly over to the right the resolution is set to the max my video card will allow, 1152 x 864. Any ideas on centering or using the whole screen?

I have the same sized screen and the native resolution is 1440x900. You may need a new graphics card if your existing one cannot manage that?

My native resolution is the same too, my card is only a 32 mb so I will eventually replace it. I was just wondering if there was anything I can do untill then.

When you first install & set up each of your CM games, you set your screen preferences based on your system. Those preferences are saved in a small preference file, as I recall, in each of your individual CM games. Find that file; back it up to be safe; and then delete it from your CM game. When you next initiate the game, you will be offered a series of screen size/format preferences. Select the one that works best and the game will create a new preferences file for you.

Thanks Jag. I played a bit with the resolution and preferences, at first it was 1028 by 764 which was the max for the CRT but the colours looked anemic. I Then ended up at the current resolution and just a tad off center but with the same quality colours as the old monitor/resolution, I guess I'll just go card shopping in the next little while.

Each new monitor has a preferred resolution setting and you should try to use that rather than the max setting your card allows, unless the card's max is less than the preferred in which case it's time for a new VC. :)

Yeah it's at the max the card allows so I'm in the market for a new card I suppose
