There are several maps in Tacops. Are these the proper scale & suitable for use with DA?

I don't know. What scale are they? Are they topographic maps?

I am not sure of the scale. I will have to see if I can find out..

As long as it is a bitmap or jpg, it can be used in DA. Be advised, though, that the scaling system is very dissimilar, and may give you fits. TacOps is a different echelon of game, and many of the maps in TacOps are graphically inferior and tiny.;)

TO maps are limited to approx 30 km x 30 km and are generally at about 1:50 000 scale. While you could use such a map, you are very limited in space (900 sq kms) for an opposed Div level scenario.

I have create and run a few "large scale" TO scanrios, but these are generally limited to a Bde/TF sized blufor agains a MRB/MRR sized opfor.

TO maps can be created from scanned topo map backgrounds with appropriate terrain coding applied with the map making tools provided by MajorH.

Execellent game, but different scope and purpose than DA.

Finding maps for DA isn't really that big of a problem. I have a lot of maps at hope and I know where to get more on the www. If there is a particular map you are looking for and can't find, let me know and I'll see what I can do. The vast majority of maps the Army uses are "unlimited distribution," so it's usually not too hard to get hold of one of these.

POA2 is a different story. It's map scale is close to TacOps and it isn't easy to hold of 1:15,000 or 1:50,000 topographic maps for the areas that we would need. Many of these are limited distribution so that complicates things. They can still be had though, it just takes a little more work.
