Almost May, what games are you waiting for?

Here it is almost May (in a few days) and the question is, what game(s) are you waiting for, that refuse to show up like right now darn it :)

I have only one currently. My much mentioned Panzer Tactics for DS (errr this waiting totally blows).

I've got Pokemon preordered for the DS, lol - I wish this were Japan, where it's perfectly acceptable for adults to play Pokemon on their way to work without getting stared at by wild-eyed commuters :laugh:

Odin Sphere for the PS2 is out soon, and i'm highly anticipaiting that - it's done by the group that made Pricess Crown for the Saturn, which is one of my favourite action-adeventure games, and it has gorgeous sprite artwork. Plus, i'm waiting for Dawn of Mana on the PS2 - since Seiken Densetsu 3 on the SNES the series has gone really downhill, hopefully this PS2 Mana game can redress the balance.

Also, i'm waiting for the Ninja Gaiden: Sigma demo to hit the Japanese Playstation Store at the end of this month - i'm a Ninja Gaiden obsessive, so I can't wait to see what it looks like on PS3.

Still waiting for three of Level 5 games to make it over here: Rogue Galaxy (PS2), Jeanne D'Arc (PSP) and Professor Layton and the Mysterious Village (DS). All the other Level 5 games i'm waiting for are still in development so i don't mind waiting for those.

Also waiting for Eidos to announce a 360 version of Tomb Raider Anniversary but it's not looking likely seeing as it hasn't been announced for any next-gen console, which is a bit strange. :hmmm:

Others... Mario Party 8 (though i'll need to buy a third wiimote and nunchuck), Super Paper Mario (no rush though; still can't find the GC one for a decent price), DDR Universe, Trauma Center: Second Opinion, Blue Dragon... hmm. I thought there'd be a lot more. :(

Totally forgot about Prof. Layton - it looks amazing. Any idea when it's out in the US? I'll need a new DS for it though - Elite Beat Agents killed mine :(

It should probably be out later this year; the Japanese version was only released in Feb. There hasn't been an announcement yet though so it still says TBA for the US.

It's a shame about your DS. I'm stuck on EBA, haven't got past 'Canned Heat' on sweatin'. I barely scraped through that level on crusin'. :OHNO: How far did you get before your DS died?

Btw i can't believe EBA's isn't even out here yet. It's due out in July. :surprise:


EDIT: Oooh, just checked my DS and i've done that one on sweatin' already. I must've done it recently and forgot. But it's that Christmas one that i'm stuck on now.

Yeah it's freaking crazy - I can't believe how terrible NOE are at localizing games. If they just released games in the UK the same time as the US gets them then UK'ers and English speaking Euro's wouldn't have to wait the better part of half a year to play games the yanks are already enjoying.

I've got Diamond but haven't had the will to play through it much - only just done the first gym. I haven't played a Pokemon game since Red, but I was suprised to find that the gameplay is totally intact - and to be honest I think thats why i've been unable to get into the game, as I thought the battle system could use a major overhaul when I initially played Red years ago and now there is next to no difference in Diamond/Pearls battle system almost 11 years after the original two were released in Japan. It's still a good game, and i'm sure i'll get deeper into it soon but christ are battles tedious

Just got a few GBA games through - and discovered that although my DS won't play DS games, it seems to be fine with GBA games lol. Got Yggdra Union, Final Fantasy VI Advance, Guardian Heroes Advance and Tales of Phantasia.

I suspect the game is an early DS release, as the manual has buttons in the wrong places :) But yesterday I got a copy of Tetris DS (I like Tetris).

Sadly, it appears I can't reset the previous owners accomplishments to zero (I picked up a used cartridge). Oh well, doesn't mean I can't play it, it just means I have a lot of unlocked levels hehe.

Anyway, the game is quite a fun to fiddle with game. I recommend getting it if you like this sort of type of title.

If you do want to erase all the saved data from Tetris:

Your scores will be automatically saved at the end of every game. To delete this data, press and hold the L Button, [right] on the +Control Pad and SELECT before the Nintendo logo is displayed after starting Tetris DS.

Apparently that's from page 9 of the instruction booklet.

I'd forgotten about Ouendan 2 that's out on the 19th of this month. I will be getting it, but later because i'm still trying to track down a copy of Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan! for £20 or under.

And i know Guitar Hero II came out last month for the 360 but GAME only had it in stock for about 2 weeks before they were recalled, and so i'm still waiting for new stock to come in. :OHNO:

I managed to pick up a copy of Guitar Hero II - it's eating my soul the games so freaking addictive. I've hit a brick wall though, can't get anywhere on hard mode when you have to use all 5 fret buttons so i'm trying to 5* all the medium songs, but it's still insanely difficult.

Just got Elebits through (or as it's called here Eledee's - so we have to wait months for a game the US already has, and on top of that they give it a horrid name). I'm just glad the Wii is getting some games I actually want to play (Elebits, Metal Slug...er, thats it) - christ knows when the AAA+ titles are going to make an appearance.

I want to get Panzer Tactics mostly so I can shove it in Don's face and say "see, it's not impossible to teach mainstream compannies they can make console wargames". :)
