Germany (Double Deuce) vs Soviet Union (Error21) Sep 1941 Pbem AAR

OK guys, what are my chances here. I have 1000 points to build a force (limited to 200 points for armor, artillery and aircraft) and "advance" against the Soviets who have 500 points (limited to 100 points for armor, artillery and aircraft).

The date is September 1941. I have 15 turns to take the roads marked with the objective hexes. You think I'll see a couple of T-34's? :nervous:

Turn 3. Managed to spot a Soviet Engineer Squad in the North but he quickly went to ground and dropped out of my view.

Screenshots will come when more enemy are spotted but I want to make sure I do not give away any Fog of War intel on myself so I will probably post several turns late. ;)

Hopefully, I should have some screenshots soon.

In the north I have encountered at least a platoon of engineers.

Also found some engineers prowling about in the center near the low hills.

In the south, it seems I stumbled upon a line of defending infantry along the the ditch just east of the hills. There are at least 2 platoons and they seem to have at least 1x 76mm howitzer backing them up. :nervous:

Time to bring up the big guns to root them out. :laugh:

Things are looking pretty grim in the south but at least his engineers in the north are falling back. Maybe I'll probe further into the center with my armor and see what's out there. I'm pretty sure those 76mm howitzer don't have any AP rounds. ;)

I'm off to play another turn and get some screenshots.

In the north and center the soviets definitely look to be on the run. :)

Well on Turn 11 his armor finally showed its head. I see at least 1 KV-1 but he's keeping him in the treeline. Don't think he is eager to come out and take a peak and my Pz-III's are not looking forward to going in for a closer look. :OHNO:

As of Turn 12 (of 15) in the south I'm still getting thrashed but at least the boys in the north are making pretty good progress.

We've had the game crash and have been unable at this point to get it up and running again so this AAR may end here.
