Does anyone know if any scenario's have been done with WinSPWW2 (or SPWW2 for that matter) on the fighting around Ponyri Station during the Kursk battles?
I haven't been able to find anything so far but I haven't dug too deep yet. If not I may have to do a little research. :smoke:
Don't think so..., no.... :crosseye:

Don't think so..., no.... :crosseye:Well, if you haven't done any they may not have been done being that you are one of the most prolific scenario designers for SPWW2WinSPWW2!

OK, here is the draft map so far. It is 60 hexes wide by 160 hexes long. Left side is North (Germans will be attacking from the left). The map is not very deep so the Germans are attacking along a broad front. Objectives will be Hill 253.5, the Water Tower, both the East and West road Junctions, the Schoolhouse, the Tractor Depot and the heavily fortified Railway Station.
Here is the top 1/2 of the map.

bottom 1/2 of map (yes there is overlap in the screenshots ;) ).

I already have the base OOB's I'll be using so I may need some playtesters in the next week or so. :smoke:
It will include Ferdinand's, Tigers, JU-87D's, fortified buildings, sewers and more. ;)

I'm thinking about setting this up as a 1 scenario campaign so that players can deploy their own forces going in. I am also contemplating setting it up to be played that way from either side.

You know, that's not a bad idea...! :smoke:

Thanks Tom.
I have the initial set of units I am planning to use added into the scenario file now, I just need to tweak the map. Right now its kind of "blocky" looking with the trees and fields. Once I blend them in to make it look cleaner and then deploy the units it should be ready.
Yep sounds like fun! My grandad was there. I can help you playtest too.

OK guys. I'm moving this thread to the Design Corner subforum as the draft scenario is completed. It is set up as a 2 scenario campaign so you can deploy your own forces for the actual battle. ;)
All you playtesters out there, feel free to apply by posting in this thread BUT be prepared to give feedback.

OK. I have uploaded the file here. Vas, Artur and desh, please post once you have downloaded the file. Any other volunteers can DL as long as you post your intent to playtest it for me. ;)
Also you will need to load it in your campaigns folder, not the scenario folder.
If you have any questions or feedback don't hesitate to post it.
FILE REMOVED
(Showed 3 Downloads) ;)

OK, seeing as how I "know" it was downloaded 3 times does anyone care to comment on this scenario so far?
Jut an FYI. When you go after the Railway Station, you better bring some backup and you better do it fast. :devious:
Do I need to load it back up for a couple more people to access it?
Lol, i didnt manage to d/l it!!!! Could you send it to my email?
