About the DA weather model

I remember reading somewhere that DA does not currently model any type of weather. Is this true? I think I also remember hearing that Jim Lunsford was considering adding some basic types of weather effects. Does anyone know what the plans are and where it currently stands?

I don't know what the current plan is. Some time Jim posted this on the DA Yahoo group:

WX Conditions that affect visibility, maneuver, or combat other than day/night are not currently modeled. Weather might be a future addition.

I agree that some type of weather model is probably needed. If nothing else it might effect the fog-of-war and slow down movement. I'm not sure if Jim has given up on this or not.
