How will the next round work, seeing as how there is now only one player (alas not myself) who hasn't been defeated ?
Must be having computer problems and I have not heard back from him yet. :smoke:

The map we were going to use is more suited to A/D so as this is a ME tourny i am trying to knock up a new one.
I will save MRs lovely map for the last two players i think, maybe a mirrored A/D final?

Good question. If jdsu wins, that leaves two players - which would be fine. But if he loses that would leave threee players left. hmmmm

As i understand it The Hooded One, Doodlebug, Iron Mike USMC & Savatage are not progressing to Rnd6, but then i have just been reading the rules again and am more confused now.
Doesn't say anything about Draws and 2054172 has had 2 on the trot preceded by a loss and won his last game.
Grrrrrrr why can't we just make things simple!!!!!!!!!!!

I just now realized there were five people left in this:
Undefeated:
JDSU
One Loss:
Mixmaster
Colonel Talvela
2054172
The Hooded One
Personally, what I would do is have JDSU be the winner of the "undefeated bracket". Two more rounds to get the winner of the "One Loss Bracket". Then that person plays JDSU - winner takes all.
Is not tripps still undefeated?:smoke:

tripps dropped out
As this is a double elimination tourney;
Whoever arises out of the pits known as the one loss bracket will have to beat the undefeated upper bracket champion, ""trumpets blare"" amoi, twice to claim the title.
So says jdsu. Thus it is so.

When I get there lets play two at the same time therefore not wasting time.;)
It would be a shame to beat another Canuck but seeing I am one the Canucks will win anyway.:clown:

Not to seem impatient, but it has been three months now. I understand that you guys are extremely busy, so we could use a generated map. That is what we did for the first three rounds.
And if you have a map that is close to being done, you could save that for round 7.
Again, I'm not trying to seem ungrateful. I know how hard it is to keep the momentum going on something like this.

Undefeated:
JDSU (:censored: Canadian gets another bye)
One Loss:

The Hooded One
I did random generation of opponents and sides and I came up with (scouts honor - random only 1 time - seriously I had no preference for opponent or side) -
axis v allies
CT v Hooded One
Nbrs v Mixmaster
So can we start now?
This sounds good to me ....I am at the part where I say we just random generate a map... :smoke:

ok, I am taking matters into my owns hands again :clown:
Here are the battles we have done so far (as many details as I can find/remember):
1) Italians vs Canadians mech- 1500 - large hills - mod trees - july 43 - clear weather
2) Allied Mech v Axis Mech - 2000 points - town - mod trees - dec 43 - snow
3)Germ Mech vs American Mech 1250 - Medium - Standard -25 Turns fixed
Mid-Day - Cool - clear / Breeze -Town - Heavy - Small Hills
ONLY from the Support/Vehicle/Armor categories - Apr 44
4)Brit Mech vs Germ Mech (?) - 2000 Unrestricted + 5 tanks for each side - rain - wet - strong winds - 30+ turns
5) Germ Inf vs Am Inf - 2000 points - Unrestricted- rarity Standard - 30 Turns variable - Midday, clear - Warm, dry
In keeping with the theme of this tourney - which has been to mix things up a bit - here is what I propose for round 6
Sep 44, 1500, ME, Unrestricted force mix, Unrestricted nationality - large map - rural setting - large hills, light trees, - clear weather - still wind - 35 turns fixed.
Here is the strange part - rarity off - but all armor units have to have max armor under 70mm.
So if mixmaster, numbers, & the hooded one agreed I guess we will proceed to do round six - post below if you guys want to. I think we should keep the opponent selection I did above, but somebody else (I dont care) randomly pick sides for each match.
Note to tourney mods - I am really not doing this to cause an offense. I just assume that you guys are very busy with something else and it seems to me that this has become a low priority. I understand that work has been done on a map - that wont be wasted - we have two more rounds after this.
I would prefer mod trees.;) :smoke:

Hi guys, sorry to be late to the discussion...here's my thoughts...
Sep 44, 1500, ME, Unrestricted force mix, Unrestricted nationality - large map - rural setting - large hills, light trees, - clear weather - still wind - 35 turns fixed.
I think unrestricted nationality is only OK if the allied player is forced to choose one nationality and not cherry-pick units from both US and CW - too ahistorical for me.
Would also prefer medium trees, but that's a minor point.
Why fixed turns? I always prefer variable so as to stop the good ol' last minute flag rush.
Here is the strange part - rarity off - but all armor units have to have max armor under 70mm.
Hmm....so that's all Tigers, Panthers and Shermans off the menu. Need to think about this one a bit....:hmmm:
The Hooded One

axis v allies
CT v Hooded One
Jeez, that would make the fourth round in a row that I've played the Allies...
.....just sayin'. :D  :clown:
