Turn 2 scenario settings are posted - HERE (http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/showpost.php?p=832197&postcount=2).

Any time you guys are ready, post your Turn 2 Movement Orders in your individual threads. Ask Turn 2 related questions here.

Well, I would continue my movement as planned in the last turn. Let's see when OPFOR interferes this time.

Cheers,
Clark

What do you guys mr_clark, vesku, Cameronius and jadpanther) think about testing out this format further by including live opponents to fight your battle against starting in Round 3?

It would basically follow the same sequence for creation except it would be against another person. I will still create all OPFOR units, deploy them, etc. It would just be handed off to another player to be the enemy force commander in a Pbem.

On another note are there any volunteers out there willing to step up and play the OPFOR in something like this? Please feel free to speak up.

This would require access to tournament mode correct?

This would require access to tournament mode correct? No, I'll set the Pbem's up just like I do with the other Campaigns (Island Civil War, NATO vs WP, etc). Actually, I'm using this same setup process for the Phony War Tournaments.

Basically, they'll be regular slots 1, 2, 3, or 4 Pbems unless both players have the CD version, then I can use the higher # slots.

Ok then I'll play OPFOR. I have all email slots open for WinSPww2. :smoke:

Sure I'd give it a try. Don't forget they the opfor would already have complete knowledge of what forces we have all the time. This would make it much trickier for the company comanders.

IF we did this in a larger format with a dedicated OPFOR team I would place the players info behind a secure area BUT let both sides post their running AAR's in public providing screenshots and casualties if they wanted to for the rest of the members reading pleasure. We would keep FOW as much as possible.

Sounds good, actually a thousand times better than the current opponent :)

Well, truth be told, the Italians, and the AI in the desert are not the best combination for creating a credible opponent in this game.

I would like to part of this dedicated team. Just let me know when you need me.

I'm all for it! It will certainly be better than another cakewalk.

Another question for you all.

How do your think the use of hexes improves or speeds things up? Or will speed things up?

I'd love to be able to use MOCAT/COCAT but from previous campaigns it has caused considerable slowdowns and driven people away from the Combat Campaign format.

Here is another idea I am looking to explore. Please refer to POST #17 of the True Multiplayer Combat Campaign (http://www.gamesquad.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64761) thread and provide your input.

Hexes makes it easier to read the map, using compass and latitudes would slow things down.

It also help eliminate the "Hey, my unit is just outside the battlefield area you cropped out, why can't they join in the fight"? ;)

It really makes tracking/plotting movement and determining off-board artillery ranges easier and helps clearly defines the engagement area.

If it is easier to use, and you can get more people involved go with the hex system. I know personally I have never been able to get cocat to work and it is dificult to keep up with what is going on if you cannot see the big picture.

Skirmisher - Let me know if you are still available for this?

Battle(s) should be ready within a week or so.
