I want to simulate a force "escaping" from the map. However, in test scenarios It seems that even if all the forces of one side have left the map, the scenario still has to "play out" the turns. Is this the correct behaviour? Should the scenario end?

In my scenario this would result in the AI then capturing the VHs.

The idea been that there is a "hit and run" attack resulting in the capture of the VH then leaving the map. I`m sure the design could be "tweaked" by having 0 VH values so the AI gains no points? or other such similiar idea?

Thanks for any input

I haven't tested it but I think it will have to play out. It may depend on the victory levels at the time though.

Are you wanting the AI to exit or the player's force?

I don't know if your scen is for winspmbt. If it is, have you try to test the new possibility of V3 : Retreat/ rally Hex. I don't try it but...
The manual explains that:
" These Retreat/Rally hexes can be changed anytime during the game and can be placed anywhere on the map. Please note: These points do not increase the rate at which units rally. The only provide a point which you can have your units retreat towards once they have entered a retreat or rout condition. Units that are in "retreat" mode may hang around that point for a turn or two.Units in route mode will not stop at the points. If they regain normal status they can be brought back into the game. If they still retain their retreat or rout status they will then begin moving towards YOUR MAP EDGE. Please also note that these retreat hexes DO NOT affect the direction units retreat when fired upon during combat. In those cases the units will initially still retreat in the tradition "east" or "west" direction the game has always used. These new points only affect the direction of retreat for units that would normally, in the old system, be retreating or routing towards your map edge."

Finally, I think that my suggestion is without interest for what you want to do. Sorry.

Thanks for the input.

Yes, Austerlitz, I think your`re right, the neew retreat/rally hex system is not applicable to this.

DD, I`m trying to let the human player leave the map, and thus ending the scenario.

One way I`ve though of getting round this is just to instruct the player not to take the final VH, located on the edge of the map....Not ideal, but stil....
