Hi Gents,:salute:

My plate has virtually been cleared off (Just one still in process with Okimawa).

I'm looking to add a few more to my plate but I'm not quit sure what I'm wanting. I'm looking for your input on a good scenario. The parameters that I am interested in are the following;

- Prefer CMAK
- Small or Medium Map
- Nice mix of Armor and Infantry
- Points 1000 - 2500 pts. (In that range)
- Prefer Italian terrain
- No larger than "modest" size hills
- Moderate tree coverage
- Overcast (No Air-support)
- Day/Night (negotiable)
- Casualties (Negotiable)
- Men are fit with full ammo (Negotiable)
- Nationalities can be mixed if agreed upon early (Negotiable)
- Rounds 32 with variable ending (or less).
- Time frame i.e. 1941, 1942, 1943 etc... (Negotiable)

Requirements:

Players must be a good file returner. I typically have files back to my opponents with in 24 hours (With the exception to Okimaw for some reason his email hates me... haha) If I can not have it back in that time I'll let you know.
I expect the same courtesy in return or close to it maybe 1 in 48 hours at worst case.

I don't care how good or bad an opponent is, as long as it is a good scenario.

If you come up with anything good that fits this description, please let me know. I'll review it and get back with you quickly on my decision.

Thank you so much and I look forward to locking horns soon. :horse:

Gentlemen,:salute:

As many of you already know, Nemesis Lead and I were best childhood buddies. We sharpened our skills on now primative games like "Combat Leader" and the orignal John Madden Football.

I'm no "Clone" as for Nemesis Lead he by far is the better of us... I think the only thing I could beat him at when we were young was basketball :bounce: (I'm just a few inches taller), other than that I was pretty much his tackling dummy, therefore I'm the clown :clown:.

Don't let this record fool you. I've just been a little lucky...

I am a bit surprised that I've not gotten more offers. Only recieved two so far...

I'm looking forward to getting more...

Best Regards Gents,

I am a clown:clown: .... Once I get a few games under control and the 4 senario tourney underway I may have you a go. Why have you not joined in the tourney? Is is outside your clone zone?:clown: You see there is a pattern developing here.:hmmm: Maybe your scareded ? :scream:  :OHNO: Here is your chance to prove me wrong, and stop hiding under the Nemesis Lead shadow.:crosseye: :ogre:

Being a N00b I think I could do with a few easier games under my belt before tackling such a strong player. Maybe in a few months.

Scott doesn't have to hide behind anyone. After only 10 games of CM, he can hand almost anyone on this ladder his A$$.

Scott actually paid attention to all the things the vets have said on the forums.

It is not so hard.....listening I mean.

I did it again ...baiting Nemesis is like leading a chicken out of the hen house. Just through out a few crumbs and there they come. ;) :smoke:

It is a compliment to my friend Scott. No one should detract from his fine won-loss record. It is an amazing achievement really. Scott has played me about 5 times (off ladder TCP/IP) and another 10 times on the ladder.

For only about 15 games....he is damn impressive. I had to play about 100 games to get as good as he is now.

All joking aside, if i can? I will be honoured to play against you as soon as the 4 player tourney is up and running. Which will be in a day or two I am hopeing.

I believe you should step out in faith and join the tourney. After all is not faith the substance of thing hoped for and the evidence of things unseen?
Remember that after the hill experience there is a cave experience. At least that was Elijah's lessons, that he needed to be taught. Of coarse you can play it safe and control all the parameters of the game, but we all know that's not what life is about ....is it?

Come on out and walk on the water, but keep your eyes focused, and your mind renewed.:smoke:

Well I am the first to admit that if I went over the line in any of my taunting , ribbing, baiting, etc. towards you, it has been done tougne in cheek.

If I offend publicly I will apologise publicly. I will apologise in front of anyone and everyone if this is the case. You are a respected member here and have earned the top spot, and respect with a healthy dose of fear sprinkeled in. This is killing me to be this serious for this long...ah but your worth it. Plus I have to fear the wrath of the Mangus.:upset: :nervous: :OHNO:

One of PONL tenets is to play the best quality opponants you can. I would definitely like to take your challenge, Carmel, in a month or two. I get pretty busy with youth baseball then football this time of year (Mar-Nov) and can't devote enough time to play too many games at one time.

Keep in mind, we only see part of a persons CM career on our ladder. Most folks with many wins and few to no losses have let a lot of blood elsewhere, possibly unrecorded. Our superstars would look more human if ALL their games were recorded on our ladder.

Keep playing, record your lessons learned and try not to repeat mistakes. Save and study your game files. Ask your opponant for his password after a match. You can learn a lot if he is willing. Don't give up. Who will be the first to hand PONL a loss on our Ladder??????????????????????????

Mr. Digits, :salute:

You've got me a bit confused here. Why are you taking offense to my comments that were not directed toward you? I would think that a man who can quote scripture would be able to practice it and not hurl stones. It appears that you simply misunderstood my comments. I was saying that I was the clown not you. Your record Mr. Digits, reflects your recklessness.

Furthermore, if you read my parameters closely, you will see that they are not nearly as restrictive as they appear. Most of the parameters are "Negotiable".

I will accept your offer of a game once your schedule becomes for accommodating.

No hard feelings my scripture quoting friend. We respect men who read the Word, but I admire those who practice it.:salute:

Now there is a difference between throwing stones and baiting /taunting.

No my record reflects every game played in Combat missions. Posting all good bad and ughly. Reckless...huumm....at times- but having fun and taking some on the chin to teach others-and posting them also.

Now as for the scripture quoting...I see you have some knowledge...but again you are mistaken, I am practicing it all the time and by stating facts and posing questions doesnot mean I am not practicing.

One can also see the huge useage of smilies and would see that there is joking etc, implied in all that I wrote and you quoted. You should also watch your open ended statements, the implications of your statements can be taken out of context, or used as an out by 'yourself' if someone takes offence.

So when we meet on the battlefield and take the time to get to know each other better then we can be better judges of the character of each other. Until then good hunting and blessing.

Message boards and email always seem to invite misinterpretation. The message I replied to was the 1st one you sent, well in the middle of my rebuttal I took a break to grab a sandwich and missed your apology.

After I hit send, then I refreshed and regretfully saw your post. Now it’s my turn to apologize. :paperbag:

Let me know when you have some time and we can test our skills on the battlefield.

Best regards, :salute:

I put out a pretty open request and got 2 challengers within 14 hours 1 minute  . One more than I wanted, but what the hell... .

Hi Walweed,:salute:

The parameters listed are simply parameters that I prefer, not require. As a matter of fact the two games that I've started with Capt Kirk and BRO Sapper are outside these parameters (They can confirm).

I'll listen to any offer... Now much like you will not necessarily accept any offer. Since I am still new I've not developed any creativity yet. With experience will come creativity?

I remember some one saying that I should step outside my comfort zone. I do recall that I was offered a game by Iron Mike on a map that he designed. Fortunately the CMAK Gods smiled on me for a victory that day, but that is probably outside a lot of guys comfort zone playing on someone else’s map. I would guess any way, maybe not.:hmmm:

Oh just for the record... The most common opponent that Mr. Digits and I have both faced multiple times was Iron Mike. I've played Mike 3 times, and Digits has played him 4 (2-2). That in itself makes for interesting conversation... :bigfire: :horse:

The gods have surely smiled on you more than once.

I'm always open to games with you guys. Hell, I'll play anyone. No game is bad. You two certainly give me a run for my money.

As far as home made maps, I'll take them over generated QB maps any day. Even if they aren't your maps (or mine), you can always look at them first to select optimum forces for the agreed upon parameters.

Regarding specific parameters, anyone who doesn't respond because they don't like the parameters, needs to take a look at why they are playing. If you want to play, accept under condition the parameters are adjusted to mutual settings. One could always take offered settings as a challenge to their skills. I don't like losing, but I'll play because I like to play.
