Question--How can I add just one unit.

I`m trying to add fortifications to a scenario, but I can only purchase a formation of 5 fortifications. What I want to do it add 2 of one type, 1 of another etc.

I might only want one of the actual units out of a formation of 5. Can U do this? Thanks

This is the iraqi 1991 OOB.

Not sure how others do it but I buy all the formations I want to use stuff out of, THEN once I have all the needed units available I purchase as single sniper. Then I go into the deploy screen and assign all the unwanted units to that sniper. Then back to the purchase screen and delete the sniper formation. This will also delete all the unwanted units (as long as you assigned them correctly) that are assigned to the sniper unit.

I do this rather than change units from a formation to another type of unit directly in the editor using the replace screen.

Note, you cannot assign x0 units so if you have left overs of them you need to delete them. Also, know that it will mess up the lettering structure for player/AI force. That should not have any ill effects but I like to keep my stuff clean and pretty as much as possible. You'll always have someone post in a forum somewhere you did something wrong because in your scenario/campaign you have x units missing because they jump sequence and you'll spend untold hours trying to explain that its no big deal and the "missing units" are not really missing. :nervous:

Thanks for the comprehensive reply. I`m sure it`ll be usefull!

Have just spotted that the "red" OOB has single bunkers/MG pits etc in it, so may use them, in this example, and set them as "captured" allied.
