View Full Version : What am I aiming for in this new campaign format?

What I am really interested in is for the current group of playtesters to play the scenarios and the campaign through and then gauge whether the generated engagements were adequately varied. Some should be very challenging while others should be cakewalks. The point is each player should not really know what situation they are faced with until they are "in contact with enemy forces". Each scenario should be unique BUT add to the general campaign theme.
There should be a fair number of battles for the campaign to keep it fun for the players BUT still keep speed of campaign progress as fast as possible. What we should have is the largest number of players being involved each turn as we possibly can.
Basically it should have a definite story that plays out and everyone should have fun, without having to take a full year of RL to play 1 operational turn. :halo:
I see what you mean.
And at least you managed to surprise me with my battle.
So few OPFOR, and then the MotoGuzzi really shocked me :D

Good point.
And I thought that the OPFOR you gave me wasn't the big boys ;)

Another advantage to this format is that I will end up with a fairly large stock of scenario's to then turn around and convert this thing to an actual user campaign. All the scenario's will have been playtested to some degree, custom maps created and all scenario's are designed using the same basic player force.
Basically all will be done except for writing the briefing texts and stringing them together in the Campaign Editor. :bigfire:
Hmm if you need help for wirting I'd try :D
Not sure I am good enough for anything else...
Hey guys, I expected some really good and interesting AARs with pictures yet I see none. Why?
Artur.
For me mainly because my battle wasn't overly interesting.
Maybe except for the HQ killing those MotoGuzzi...
And I didn't took enough notes, actually, but I am better prepared for the next turn.
Also what tool do you recommend for pics?

In windowed mode just press print screen. Then paste the content of the clipboard into MS Paint. Very easy very cheap :).
