Not really, I couldn't disagree more - not every game needs deathmatch; especially when said game is a spiritual succesor to one of the best single player series created. I'm personally excited for BioShock as it looks to be one of the most immersive single player RPGs this year, and that excitement isn't diminished any by the lack of multiplayer - it's an RPG at the end of the day, just because it's in the first person perspective doesn't mean it demands some sort of online multiplayer. Is Oblivion any less of a game because it doesn't have multiplayer? Of course not, but people kept demanding it just because the game is in first person - if Final Fantasy was a FP-RPG like The Elder Scrolls series or BioShock i'm sure more than a few people would demand some form of multiplayer attatchment, but as you know FF doesn't need any multiplayer as it's the immersive single player experience that counts and it's the immersive single player experience that has been the selling point of BioShock since day 1.

AMEN! :D

For me as a dedicated single player Multiplayer is nothing I worry about...

Well lets hope devs make it worthwhile then. Lately, most single player games have only lasted 6-10 hours...I hope this one exceeds it.

I would love to have more games with coop play like System Shock 2.

Anyone else here play all the way through Project Eden? (PC/PS2) One of the best multiplayer coop multiplayer titles I've played, just a little week on the combat (not an entirely bad thing, lots of non-combat things to do) and a dissapointing ending.... Part of why Project Eden might have faild was that single-player was too much of a chore (four characters each with talents, you really need to handle all four at once, not as fun to do by yourself...)

This title will stand or fall based on the quality of its single player game. Multiplayer would be a nice addition, but I don't think every game on the market needs to have a multiplayer mode.
