Database editing

HI Guys,

Just discoverd your scenarios and databases. Some nice work here. Being a 'pooner for some time (still got my old 3.5" floppies!!), I still, when looking for just an enjoyable, quickish sceanario, still like the bad but handy in enjoyment, old 30 min reloads. (yes I know there would be some who gasp at such a thing, but some time it is nice to sit back and just enjoy the sim, without a prolonged end to the scenario) Fortunately, with the size of hardrives these days, one can have an install with the new realistic times etc and an old 30 min reload version. I find the easiest way of doing this is to edit the relevant database and change the reload times back to 30 mins. I did this with your db player database but when I went to boot up H3, there was an error with database signatures etc.

Is there a way of editing your database to change re reloads to 30mins???

Very happy to hear that you find Freek's scenarios challenging.

It is especially nice to hear that you enjoy "monkeying" around with the PlayersDB.

At present, it is not possible for the "General" Harpoon public to quickly and easily to edit Harpoon3 databases for ANW. There are ways around this problem and nice guys like Darren Buckley who is willing to help you out, but it's an awkward process, at the moment.

AGSI is currently setting out a policy on their DB editors and until it is finalized, you won't be able to readily modify Databases for use with ANW.

A "customized" version of the PlayersDB has been posted to the Archives (http://www.xtreme-gamer.com/forums/downloads.php?do=file&id=1342) for your convenience. It has all the Loadouts reduced to 30 min. Please DL it and let me know so that I can delete it afterwards so as not to waste XG Archive's memory space.
