View Full Version : EuroGames
I have heard about EuroGames; not really sure what they are but I am looking for games that I can play with my daughters (14 & 11). I would like games that are more involved than standard family board type games. Thanks for the info.
Eurogames is a term more than a category.
It's like how we often call em shooters or some of us grogs refer to some games as wargames, while we don't care to call others wargames, even if they have a clear war theme.
Type in "eurogames" as a search term at boardgamegeek.com (search the 'geeklists' not 'games') and you'll see some lists of the more popular ones.
Edit: this list has all the more popular ones that I'm aware of: LINK (http://www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/17033)
Are you looking specifically for a certain platform for your gaming? For example, board, or PC, console, etc?
How about what you're looking for in the games you do play? What type of content? What is ok, and perhaps more importantly, what isn't? Between the members here we've got alot of suggestions to offer, and with a little more information, perhaps we can make a few that will best suit your needs!

If you want a board game, Ticket to Ride is really easy to learn and really fast to play. Great fun, too, with a little bit of direct competition, but very little obvious "screw the other guy" stuff.
