What were our Casualties...........?
I guess with both battles combined maybe a little more then this in heavy units. But I guess we got quite some of their APCs.
What were our Casualties...........?
See the OOBs, it's pretty easy to count the casualties.
Here's the known Nato losses from Op1 Asperstham battle
3x Leopard C1 A3
3x M150
5x M113A1 + 1x immobilised
1x Scouts
2x Rifle Section
1x .50 HMG
2x Blowpipe
1x M125A1
1x Lynx
All in all we got like good one and a half batallions of Canadians.
Next time it must be more
Total casualties after OP1:
13x Leopard C1 A3
5x M150
33x M113A1
2x Scouts
9x Rifle Section
4x .50 HMG
3x Blowpipe
3x M125A1
6x Lynx
4x Cougar
Compared to ours:
x9 SPW-40P
x10 RPG-7 Team
x2 SPZ BMP-1P
x2 BTR-60PB
x2 PRP-2
x1 7.62mm PKM MMGs
x5 Mech Section
x27 BMP-2
x8 T-64B
x1 DZM
x6 7.62mm PKMS MMG
x4 UAZ Jeep
x2 Scout Team
x5 BRDM-2
x5 BRDM-2 Spandrel
x3 Mi-24 Hind D (# 366)
x1 MiG-23
1:1 in vehicles but we've managed to get a lot more their infantry which is balanced by our air losses. All in all, we are still very evenly matched.

Good info Vesku, I think we did well with that fight. I like that we took 5 of those nasty 150's away from them.

I think pointwise we did better then they.
And we managed to size a heavily reinforced mechanized batallion down to a shaken infantry one.
The loss of the choppers is quite bad, but I think we did fare a little better then NATO did.
As noted without their cluster artillery our ground losses would have been merely attrition (+ the helos). At least I couldn't avoid losses when cluster ammo falls down in 3-4 spots almost every turn :blab: Some tricks needed for that
Pity one can't really use Arty for dedicated CBF in SPMBT and that our troop's experiance is rather bad, otherwise a barrage of 152mm would surely hack into that yank batteries like a harvester...

Our only defense against their clusters is constant movement and/or concealment. Counter battery fire on our part is not an option. Next OP turn I will be moving up our SP 152s along with some ammo carriers to be used as on board assests. We will have clusters of our own.
I have noticed the improved effectiveness of air stikes in the v3 upgrade, hopefully we can use this to our advantage.
