As some of you are aware the has been an up surge of medals being handed out. This is catch up time.....they were well earned by many of you :salute: and if some are missed let me know and point it out if it's a big deal or not.

Medals will only be given out when earned, this may of been neglected before because Kerry (Palantir) was swamped with things and trying to be all things to all men.

Now the most enjoyment was giving medals to Kerry our beloved use to be moderator. I want to thank him for all he has done here and I am sure will continue to be here in the future.
It was my honour to give him the Honorable Service Medal, the Superior Service Medal (most likely earled time and again), and The never before issued in the Combat Mission section the Grognards Medal for extraoridinary effort for a section.

To all the rest of you guys lets give Kerry a roll call and a Salute.( following this post)

Kerry - your tournament brought me in to the fold of this club and started my (hopefully long, illustrious, and successful) string of Combat Mission PBEM games. Thank you very much!

Well technically Medals are made out of Metal so you could call them Metals or have i just been haging around with Wayne to long?

Speaking of "Metal Medals", lol, i understand how they all are earned except one. Im a little confused. The "Combat Medal" is "earned by fighting in a tournament", it says. Do you get one by going the whole way through the tourney, or by reaching a certain spot in a tourney, or do you earn one for simply fighting in one and lasting as long as you can until you are eliminated? Thanks for the help.

That all depends..LOL...No really I would understand that if you fought in a tourney to the end and also if you fought as long as you could and were beat out of it. Like the elimanation tourney that is now going on...if you were elimanated in the first round you would still get a MEDAL. ;) :smoke:

I look at these medals as tour of duty medals of major battles. Now if you drop out and don't put in the effort no medal...just the firing squad for desertion.

I am open to suggestions if one of you guys feels that a medal is due to someone bring it to my attention. I look at that, like a recommendation from a fellow officer/ soilder to a higher rank. Note that there are also bounus points for different things that were not done before due to lack of time....this wll also be used more often from now on...so the more you contribute the more you get.

huummm I better check into seeing if that was done...thanks alot Mr. Schreck....I need to have a medal for those that cause work...:freak: :smoke:

Actually, when I first saw the word 'metals' & tried to mentally correlate that somehow with CMAK, I figured it'd be either a very dry & technical forum or Wayne figured out how to use depleted uranium in this game.

And it's 'none of the above' - story of my life I guess :laugh:

A person will earn one for being in the tournament, then if said person placed in the top three they will recieve the medal that is due to them...and I believe bonus points for placing.:smoke:
