I made the following list of shortcut keys after reviewing the manual (which is excellent BTW, better than the very good ATF manual).

GENERAL
<pause> = start time / stop time
<delete> or <backspace> = delete command
<shift> + # key (0-9) = save currently selected unit group
# key (0-9) = recall saved group

MAP VIEW
<shift>+ arrow key = move one 'page' in given direction
<home> = move to top left (NW) corner of map
<end> = move to bottom left (SW) coner of map
<page up> = move one 'page' up
<page down> = move one 'page' down

MOVEMENT COMMANDS
<S> = Stop
<G> = Move
<.> = Sprint (this is the PERIOD key)
<M> = Mount
<D> = Dismount

FIRE COMMANDS
<P> = Suppress
<T> = TRP
<F> = FireMission

If anyone is aware of additional shortcuts, please add them to this thread. thanks

James

Thanks for the tips and the AATF shortcuts, keep them coming!

I’m hoping for a pre Christmas Day delivery, I’m even thinking of bribing the Postman if the package arrives out of hours. The wife thinks I’m pathetic; I’ll forgive her because I know she doesn’t understand.

Wating…..waiting….waiting

Map
z = zoom in
x = zoom out

BTW, what happened to the ability to store fire missions? Did I miss something?

I don't remember this capability being present. Is it a feature from ATF (sorry, I am not in a position where I can check the game right now). I DO remember being able to copy/paste fire control measures, but not fire missions?!?

Pat and Rnaso,
In a manner of speaking, YES it is in ATF and YES it is still in AATF. But not completely. The ATF manual, page 19, talks about saving an artillery grouping (e.g. saving all the batteries of an arty battalions as a group). You do this the same way an other grouping is saved: selected unit + shift + number key. But ATF, nor AATF, does not have the ability to save fire missions, at least that I'm aware of...

I think maybe he's talking about the "TOT" function that is in ATF, but not AATF - we have "when ready" and "immediate" targeting, but we could actually give ToT and length of missions.

You forced me back to the manual. In TFW and TSATC you could group arty units by number, select them and assign new targets. This stuck in my mind as “storing fire missions.” Actually, I was just storing and recalling hierarchies, which, of course, can also be done in AATF.
