Glad to see some Castlevania love, that series is simply awesome (in 2d). Even the NES games are great, it's like a law - every 2d Castlevania game shall be freaking awesome.

How does pokemon come 17th?! that should be in the top 10 i think, everybody loves pokemon at the bottom of their heart :)

i would agree with most of those. but i think that Tekken should be on there, and if half life can make that list, so should Halo.

I could have guessed 4/5 of the top 5. I'm surprised to see Castlevania in there.

Interesting list. I don't really consider Tom Clancy a franchise. Or Starwars. Starwars is simply a license used for many different franchises.
My list would probably go like this

1.Legend of Zelda
2.Mario
3.MGS
4.Metroid
5.Chrono Series (if you'll call 2 games a franchise)
6.Castlevania
7.FF(well I'm not too fond of the 3D ones)
8.GTA
9.Tetris
10.Civilization
11.Resident Evil
12.Street Fighter

I'm not sure who I would put first..but I don't think I'd put Zelda even in the top 3. Its one of the greatest series ever..but dunno...FF wouldn't get top 3 either for that matter even though I'm a FF fanboy.

Mario would probably have to be number 1.

Dunno..would be too hard for me to decide on this.

hmm, i dont agree with Castlevania being there

mine would be

1. Mario
2. Zelda
3. FF
4. Warcraft
5. Pokemon

but thats just my opinion

you know, thats a good point, something i was kinda thinking too. maybe the Rainbow Six games instead of tom clancy, and Dark Forces from star wars.
