Ok, I know some of you will laugh at this. But actually, I play this with my grandson who is 7. I need help with 2 things. Where is the 'demo' which is suppose to enable me to unlock freeplay? Also, in the cantina after finishing Episode IV at the bottom of the screen there are things like 0/50 etc., and the words freeplay. Is there a way to access freeplay from there or is that just for my information on where I'm at with the numbers? I would appreciate any and all help with this wee little problem. ipok nakni :)

i think you just have to go back onto the levels and freeplay is there as an option, like the top option says story, and under that it says freeplay which wasnt available before, im not sure though, i havent played it for ages (im 16 and i love it so dont be ashamed:p)

Thanks to Green 4 England and Sean for replying to my message. I do appreciate very much. As I have gone through more of the game, I have discovered purely by accident how to use freeplay, etc. Guess the thing to do is really pay attention to what is on the screen and just try everything you can think of. So, thank you both for the help! :joy:

Don't be ashamed for playing this game. I bought Lego Star Wars I a year ago for my 8 and 7 year olds. Just got Lego Star Wars II for Christmas. Both games are arguably the best games in the entire Star Wars series. Highly playable, highly rated, FUN, and good for the whole family. Well worth the money.

Thanks, Snash. I appreciate your comment. I am having great fun with the game although it can frustrate me now and again.

Maybe you could help me with a couple of problems I'm having.

In VI door 1., there is, what I call fighter jets, in snowy mountains. I'm going crazy trying to find the way out of the canyon (?). There are these red doors and a screen which will show one of those small two winged black fighters (?). There are none of those in the canyon. I know the way out is through the red doors, but can't figure out how to get through them. Can you or someone help me with this? Pretty please.

The second thing is what do I do with all the items that sparkle or look like they have stars twinking around them? I've missed out on several canisters because I don't know what to do with them.

Again Snash, thanks for the incouragement for this female boomer playing a childs game! Have a great day, ipok-nakni :)

I'm in my late 30s, and I *loved* Lego Star Wars II. :D

If I remember correctly, the 'shimmering' items were things you could use the force on (as long as you are a jedi character). They would move/reassemble into useful items, such as bridges and ladders, turrets, etc.

Also, note that there are several areas (in general, not relating to your specific area where you are stuck), that can only be reached through freeplay, when you go back and replay the level with different characters. You can do so to unlock more of the 'collect-me' items. If you go outside the bar, you'll notice the pieces that you have collected lying in piles outside. When you finish getting all the pieces to one of the levels, go outside and check out what you have 'built'. :)

Hello Canada! (Shane)

Thank you so much for your expertise. I greatly appreciate it. Now I know what to do with the 'sparklies'. I understand freeplay. It's just getting there that's a pain. If I have anymore trouble spots, I'll be sure to post.

Thanks again, Pen

Always a pleasure.

Feel free to shout out if you get stuck again or have any questions - someone is sure to offer a suggestion or three!
