View Full Version : Need some info from TOAW I Manual
Soooo...I dont suppose its published online somewhere? I'm after the recommended Proficiency, Force, etc. tables for various nations, specifically Italy, UK/COM, Germany, Yugoslavia, Greece, Bulgaria, blah blah blah
Anyway, I'm working on converting my GDW's Western Desert and Marita-Merkur into a single TOAW:COW scenario but cannot find my stupid TOAW I manual with those precious little tables.
Can't help you with the TOAW 1 manual, but as scenario designer, you are GOD! Use what you feel will work, based on the overall design concept. Playtest to see if your thoughts implements well. Rinse and repeat.
I live in Santa Clara, and work in San Jose. Neighbors!
Heh, yeah I know :)
I like to use the figures from the TOAW I manual because they are good baselines to work from coming from Norms mouth to our ears as it were :)
I may just raid some of the scenarios in game for baseline data, duh cant beleive I didnt think about that before.
Nice to see this forum however, I've got a couple scenarios up over at wargamer.com (NATO: Next War in Europe based on the Victory Games boardgame with 2300 downloads and War in Afghanistan with 1600 downloads and those are for the COW versions, the VOL II versions are right up there too.)
I also play alot of WW2OL...but thats another story :)

How quickly do you want/need that info? I have my TOAW I manual around here someplace, but am not sure where exactly that is!
If you're in no particular rush, I'll turn it up soon enough- if you need it sooner than that, sorry! :D
Reply on the thread or PM me....I'm not picky!

Here is the table:

There are notes: such as Elite units should have higher values while second line units (green units) have lower values.
muy excellent! thanks for that link.
I've been reviewing unit histories for that very purpose of adjusting up or down 5/10 pts. :) Overall I'm going to get all the Orbat in for both of the GDW games while trying to stay true to the unit/game structure the Europa system uses, so I may be looking towards the capabilities stated for those units to adjust quality.
