Just wondering, how many are actually interested ONLY in console machines for their potential PC game applications (like me).

As it stands, I have no preference for 360 over PS3 over Wii and they are all equally capable of losing me where the actual games are concerned.

When I heard a PS3 might be able to play Steel Panthers though suddenly I was interested.
I've been waiting for console technology to catch up and join the technology that we call PC gaming. Because, all a PC game is, is a game built for the many myriad permutations of PCs.

And the bajillion patches seem mostly to be about fixing all the glitches that seemingly endless variables create. Maybe if games made for PCs had more consistent platforms to be built for, PC games might enjoy less need for patching.

The way i have always seen it is that if i want to play a PC game, then i will use a PC...

I have absolutely no interest in PC aplications on a console.
I'm what i would call a gaming purist. I have no need for most of these PC possibilities nor will i ever.

I keep my console gaming seperate from my pc stuff. To me consoles always have been and always will be puerly for console games.

Also, a console at this point, could not match the performance of a decent PC when it comes to playing PC games.

i'm in total agreement with you on this. as console systems stand now, i want them seperate too.

but i also agree with the last point Aries made. a problem for the pc market is that games are developed for a wide range of hardware.
