Full list of Final Fantasy games at Jump Festa
The complete list of Final Fantasy games appearing at Jump Festa '07 has been revealed, Fabula Nova Crystallis leading the way.
Jump Festa '07 - December 16th/December 17th:
# Final Fantasy 13
# Final Fantasy Versus 13
# Final Fantasy Agito 13
# Final Fantasy 12: Revenant Wings
# Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children Complete
# Dirge of Cerberus - Lost Episode: Final Fantasy 7
# Before Crisis: Final Fantasy 7
As can be seen, a large number of Final Fantasy titles will be appearing this year, but I find it strange that Crisis Core won't be making an appearance, yet even the decidedly smaller mobile games will be appearing.
Too...much...Final Fantasy. Seriousley, I know it's their most succesful franchise but between Square and Enix's back catalogues there are multiple games i'd much prefer to see a sequel too; Chrono Trigger, a proper Mana sequel, Vagrant Story, Terranigma, a better sequel to SaGa Frontier than Romancing SaGa, Illusion of Gaia etc
SE are no dummies. They are going to put out what sells. And when that stops selling (FF series). They have other IP's to fall back on. I mean seriously...Chrono Trigger would make an awesome series. I'd like to see a remastered Vagrant Story. And most of all (I don't really consider this FF) is FF Tactics next gen.
But I also think you are biased against the name Final Fantasy Bootaay although I have never figured out why. If it has the name "Final Fantasy" you pretty much instantly dislike it even though none of the Final Fantasy games have anything in common and are completely different.
Not to say I'm not the complete opposite of you and will buy anything that has Final Fantasy name on it.
Oh i'd say i'm definetly biased against FF, mostly because i'm sick of how many games are coming out now - look at that list - 7 freaking titles. Seven. Not including Crisis Core. Thats too many for any game series no matter how succesful it is. Over-saturation sucks.
But if it sells....and people like it....hell people WANT it. SE is fulfilling a market. I want them...many others want them. On top of that..quality isn't getting hurt at all (except ffx-2 but we won't go there).
They could make FFCXVII and if the quality remains the same...I'm all for it.
Its like a good book to me. On any good fantasy medeival series, there can be 30-50 books easily. This is just an interactive book.
awesome, looking forward for a trailer on ff7: acc :D
Im annoyed at the lack of crisis core though :dead:

Im with Bootaaay. TOO MANY GAMES. Are they trying to compete with Star Wars or something. Only ones Im interested in ever was FF7 because of the awesome characters. I meant come on, FF13 isn't out and they already have 3 versions.
well, if you two dont like it, it wont stop them from making more. :p
Also, you cant compare it to star wars. Star wars are practically the same story, being told in someone else point etc. its in the same worlds/ systems etc.
Each "main" FF is a completely different story with completely original characters. The only similarities they have are magic/ summons , moogles and chocobos. And dont forget the game name. They could all be called something different:
FFX could have been: Sin (lmao)
I think FF haters are ignoring the storylines completely, dont bother reading up on them and finding out what its about and are just judging it by the name.
That and the newest FF game with triple platinum in like a week. Why shouldn't they make more again?

Hmm I understand now but Star Wars is still funner :P Rpgs arent that great for me.
On the other hand, if they kept making Halo with a new story line, maybe another trilogy, I'll be happy. Knowing that halo 2 Sold $100 million in its first 24 hours :) Which estimates around 2 million copies of Halo 2 within its first 24 hours.
So if FF was that good, wouldn't it had top this already..
Well there is a couple things wrong here.
1. Halo 2 only sold 6 million or under units. Which is good...not great. It didn't even make the top 10.
2. FFXII has sold 5 million units already and hasn't even been released in the UK.
Its going to blow Halo 2 out of the water and then some lol.

I heard different so I don't know who got more. But I seriously doubt FF could beat it.
You heard incorrectly and you underestimate the series. Halo did not sell as well as many other AAA titles. Final Fantasy series or parts of it have always been best sellers. Sorry to disappoint.
Not to mention Halo was pretty much NA and Europe only.

Whats AAA :/
AAA is just a large title. Halo, Final Fantasy, Gears of War, etc. Just the big game names.

Why do they call them AAA :/
Perhaps Halo would have sold more if it wasn't on a system with a relatively small userbase. If it was available to the 100 million or so people who bought a PS2 then it surely would have sold much, much more - but as it is, comparing the sales of two different games on two different systems with two different sized userbases is kinda pointless - a better way to compare would be to look at the attatch rates to see what percentage of the userbase bought the title in question.
I won't argue that Bootaaay. You could be absolutely correct. But that wasn't the subject at hand. Unfortunetly % base does not translate to sales or personal opinions. PS2 may have 100 million units sold but that doesn't mean they are all final fantasy fans.
But regardless...when Halo gets up to part 13..then we can talk about which has a larger subscriber base :P
