SOME NOTES
------------
- If number of european units is little big higher than US ones it is due to many units with company size.
Each side own more or less 45 brigades
- To follow ben turner advice these company size units have been set as squads to avoid nonsense splitting
-Researchs made and discussion posted on webs sites like ww.warfarehq.com (http://www.warfarehq.com/), www.tdg.nu (http://www.tdg.nu/) lead me to consider all jeep like vehicles as light armored trucks .
by instance:
- French Peugeot P4
- German löwe & Iltis
- UK Land Rover,
- US most of Humvees
I have considered that this short campain don't permit to push production to a such rate that big units as tanks could be replaced by a rate of 10 a day !!. So I put replacement rate very low, execpt for men. I decided too to create a pool of 10% of on hands units to reflect heavy material reserve
issued from the latest orders made by both armies before engaging war
- Why 2 turns of cease fire ?. 1st on turn one, a TO permits to move the US marines ( air heli and land) to the Island in the Atlantic ocean ( look at the map and scenario brieffing).
please use Jersey or gurnesey island as relay for move of helicopters ( need 2 turns), so begin on turn one if you want to use the TO).
2nd to deploy as you want your french units, 2 turns are just enough.
Remember that US can land in all main hrbour cities. But those in use with modern Warfare know what airborne and airmobile units can do on a front line. So to move correctly French units you need 2 turns. Don't hesitate to use Board Rail option. And during turn 3 to 5 many reinforcements are coming too use them wisely !!!
3rd Turn 2 is "the" turn to make your choice for your air units status : Air Superiority, Interdiction, Combat Support. Make your chose wisely.:devious:
- Take care on turn 3 the air war begin, for 3 turns of Hell in air and on land. All my testings shows the same hell as serbian and Iraquis got. But in this case for both sides. On turn 3 European player don't move your units let the storm pass on you back ( a severe one), move in turn 4 it is more easier. Theater interdiction can reach 60 and more !!!! on turn 3.
-US player use you airborne and air mobile only from turn 5 or 6 ( that's my point of view; do as you want but !!!!)
-Read carefully the scenario brieffing (look at context for fun only), there are many usefull informations.
-For global situation take time to read news.
- Concernng OOB & TO&E, ( for your informations)
For US Marines I got it from official : MCRP 5-12D Organization of Marine Corps Forces
For US army from their different web sites and from many others like Globalsecurity.org and federation of american scientist etc...
For UK army the UK minister of Defense and Orbat documents
For French Army the CDES central command for doctrine and high military school teaching
For German Army, the HEER site along with site as panzertruppe.de or other site as panzerbaer.de etc...
For Belgium Army, the belgium minister of defense and documents given by JMS
For Spanish army, the very well made Spanish army web site, hopefully I read spanish easily. Obviously help from JMS
