I saw its reveiw on G4TV and it was amazing, graphics are lucious and waaaaaay better than the last game....I bought FS 2004 2 years ago and it was cr@p...big smelly cr@p...I think Flightsimulator is very reptitive, just fly and fly....why dont the add diffrent things to the mix? jet fighters, air force one UH-60, classic vietnam choppers, those kinda millitary stuff,oh and blimps too

u can import stuff i think
Well i know you could in flightsim 98 so i don't see why they wouldnt have kept the feature in the newer version.
Combat flightsim1 was quite funny if u imported the learjet45 from flightsim 98 they couldnt even get close to ya
I got the game and its quite good.. Theres lots depth and the scenary is good. But when i put it to maximum graphics, the frps decreases and it gets jerky :(

what GPU do you have?
how the heck can people play these games? how can somone get enjoyment from the plane and train simulators...
who finds piloting comercial aircraft fun?
i played one of these games ages ago and got bored in 5 mins and ploughed the plane into a building... that was the highlight... which is sad...

Plane simulators would be slightly better as at least you can have control of where the plane goes, as far as I am concerned a Train simulator would just be dire lmao...
Combat flight simulator was alright because there was actually something to do though I still sucked at it. :hehe:
I never understood these games; the vision i have of them are quite good as i expect to be able to be set a target place and just fly my way their. Am i rite in saying thats what u do? or is it like a simple click there and click there and bang thats it...hehe
Actually there are missions.
So, u actually drive the plane? as in like turning and sh*t?

Haha m8.
With Flight Simulator u can learn to drive a real plane.
My friend here in Dubai - A freak of Fs he contacted microsoft and he was given a virtual flying test.
Yeah u can turn and talk w ith radio control tower and u can be 1 as well.
But the sweet part is u can even set the thing to real flying time hours..
Sweet eh??
Ya it sounds very kwl. I wouldnt buy iy tho tbh.

flight sims only fun if you're actually interested and into flying if you're not then how can it be fun? Im taking flying lessons at the moment and i find flight sim very handy to practise on so flight sim is NO WAY pointless

Hey, I enjoyed the train simulator... It was nice and relaxing sitting back and watching the world go by from the window of a steam train.

im gonna be honest i did try out train simulator and thought it was a load of crap and very boring and i don't think that train sim is as detailed as flight sim but those are my opinions

I have to admit the Train Sim was pretty disappointing in the long run... The crashes were poor. But I did find it relaxing when I wasn't trying to derail stuff.

yer i agree the derailing is a bit retarded same story on flight sim with auto pilot you can just switch it on sit back and relax
real pilots train with this game :)
i say it's time to bring out "Microsoft Porn Star Simulator"... Now THERES a sim game i would buy and enjoy quite alot

Well there wouldn't be a joystick per-se, more like a webcam and a member of the opposite sex... :hehe:
Or a member of the same sex if thats that way you swing...

Microsoft Flight Simulator does have some competition from X-Plane. If you're really want realism, X-Plane has some advantages over FS. But it's hard to beat FS in terms of the quality of the whole package. Plus, there are tons of quality add-ons available for FS.

Depends on the laptop, most of them you can't upgrade it

On a few notebooks (and genreally only topend ones) there is like a mini daughterboard thats the graphics and it can be replaced (thats if you can get your hands on a compatable gfx board)
However With most laptops the graphics chip is actally part of the motherboard which is why you cant upgrade it.
My macbook for instance has an intel GMA950 graphics chip.. and well quite frankly it sucks.
But then i don't use my macbook for playing fast action fps games, the GMA950 will just about run World of warcraft at the displays native res But considering If i do play games on it its mostly older RTS games it doesn't really matter.
Well i can run COD2 normal gfx without no lag or glitch no problem :)
