View Full Version : Status on Furocity/Foggy Game so far
Guten Tag,
The offensive has been launched with decent success and advances. I took the southern option, launching with 6th PZ North of the railroad headed NE towards the bridge and pocket. 6th PZ has the river between Genarlov and Shestakov with a crossing just east of Genarlov.
23rd PZ has reached the secondary road running SE of Shestakov and crossing the river just west of Shestakov.
The brandenburg unit has secured the main bridge and destroyed it, and 11 PZ is attempting a linkup and this should be accomplished in turn 3 for they are 1 hex from one another. Hopefully the brandenburg unit will hold and delay any reinforcements trying to cross that major river. Failed to get their engineer unit.
Note 2nd Guard Army has not been spotted, so suspect they are North about to launch a major offensive on my hapless Italians. 304th Div is enroute to help delay this attack.
Arty has been moved up and is in tactical mode in support of any counterattacks.
Air is looking good, 182 enemy aircraft reported destroyed (I think my pilots are padding their BDA) while we sustained 51 destroyed.
I failed to move my rail repair units up, but I decided to load 19th PZ up on trains in order to get them into the fight quickly. I expect them to engage within 2 turns.
All in all, I am happy with the initial assault, now to see what he does :)
We should all take screenshots when we link up with 6th army, make it a slideshow and mail it out to all the Soviet players... nothing like a little propoganda to demoralize our enemies :D

i like this idea :p
Not as good as I wanted. He destroyed my brandenburg unit and did a good supply drain on 11 PZ.
No indications of 2nd GA and he only made some limited attacks but nothing successful in crossing the river against the Italians.
The main effort in the south is as follows:
19th and 3rd PZ in the middle started a supporting attack took 2 hexes, and if he doesn''t block it I will secure the bridge again, 1 hex away.
11PZ took 2 hexes and is holding but low supplies.
6th PZ is pushing to link up with 11th PZ
17th and 23rd PZ are pushing along the rail line headed to the Pocket.
6th Army pushed a few units and has launched some probes, he has pulled most his forces back from the pocket leaving mainly 1 unit in contact. I am going to try and push from the pocket on the 4th turn to try and meet up with 17th and 23rd PZ.

i see that your still not over the river,
your offence will go very slowly,i predict
Those units in front of me are shattered, but it could go slow depending on how he reinforces it.
However I will launch a hard attack in the center and that will take some pressure off the south.
Plus I see an opportunity to attack a weak position and maybe encircle a few Russians.
Axis Turn 5 is complete.
His plan as I see it was to use the DON Front forces to stop my advances while he launched a major attack north against the Italians.
The Italian front: he has pushed into the northern portion where he has a bridgehead, however I sent the 304th and 385th divisions to block and attack.
In the center:
I had to commit the 3rd PZ counterattack a pentration endanging my flank. The attack was successful and I destroyed His HQ, arty, 3 bde of armor, and 1 division. I will pull the 3rd PZ back as my local reserve. The 336th and 6th Rumania are holding the northern flank.
The 19th PZ has launched a supporting attack center and has secure the bridges and blocked the routes to reinforce south.
The 11 PZ has been slow because of a reorg, but they are now pushing to destroy some surrounded Russians, then will swing towards the pocket.
The 6th/17th/23rd PZ divisions are pushing towards the pocket and are 3 hexes away, at the same time the 6th Army has pushed out to meet them.
In the South:
The rumanians have had some success, we destroyed about 1/2 an army, but to the far south he has launched an attack, but I suspect it will lose its momentum. German division is getting postioned to flank him if he moves too far in.
Supplies are holding, but I need get to the pocket within the next 2 turns, I hope by turn 7.
Luftwaffe us doing ok.
http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axis5.jpg
Just finished Turn 6.
The attack in the North by the Russians has been launched, however 2 german Infnatry divisions are in place and dug in behind the river, with one on the flank. If he over extends his line, I will launch a flank attack, otherwise, I will delay him.
Center: 19th and 27th PZ have pushed in the center and blocked any reinforcements to the south. Supply is decent, and units are dug in.
3rd PZ is being held in reserve, might have to send them north, but they are there to prevent any flank attacks into the center form the North.
South Main Effort: 17th PZ is 1 hex from 6th Army units, but supply is low.
11 PZ reorg on me again, so they will be my main push on turn 7. Going to parallel the Major river NE towards the pocket. 6th PZ has linked up with 11 PZ and will also push towards the pocket, the Tiger unit is supplied and healthy. 23rd PZ is out of gas, and is in a prevent flank attack by his DON forces trying to run around my SE flank. I found them with my cav screening out in that area :)
Rumanians are looking bad, they are barely holding on in the south, but a German infnatry divison is preparing positions, I hope he doesn't see them, then I will launch them into this flank.
Turn 7:
I linked up with 6th Army for a brief second, but because of a retreating Russian unit, I lost the hex :( ....
I have 17th PZ in position to open a 3 hex wide gap to 6th Army, so I expect supplies to flow soon.
23rd PZ still in the south, had some problems dealing with his flanking manuever, but we managed to kill 2 divisions, at the sacrifice of the 23rd HQ unit. Requested a new General from HQ's South :)
6th PZ and 11 PZ is linked and so is 15 LFD and they are moving towards the pocket parrallel the super river headed NE, only 2 hexes from 6th Army.
19th and 23rd PZ is holding the center, blocking any reinforcments, however recon has spotted a few units headed their way, I expect them to be engaged in 1-2 turns.
3rd PZ had to counterattack another flanking attack, did not bag any Russians, but managed to push them back.
The Italians are holding with the help of the 2 new German divisions, I suspect I can hold for 2-3 turns. I sent another division to back them up.
The Rumanians are delaying, his attack in the deep south has gained some ground, but nothing to threaten the MAIN attack.
Axis Turn 8, and yes we have linked up with 6th Army, there now exist a 3 hex corridor. Now the supplies will flow...
North:
The Italians are reinforced with 4 German Infantry divisions (385, 304, 298 and 387). They are in a defend and delay mission, so far the Soviets have not broken through. I expect a major push this next turn, but I should be able to contain it.
Center:
7th LFD is holding the northern flank.
3rd PZ and the Rum 6 have launched a probing attack with some success, trying to capture the rail lines. Note the Rumanians are out front :)
27th and 19 PZ are forced oriented at the moment destroying some Soviet units that tried to get to the South. This has turn into a grind, for he has plenty of Arty. In addition some guard units are starting to arrive. Might get ugly here soon.
South:
11 PZ and 15 LFD have secured routes along the main river headed towards the pocket, in addition they are mopping up some encircled Soviet units.
6th PZ was the main effort and launched attacks to open a route to 6th Army, mission successful, now they have to deal with a horde of Soviet Arty, plan to push hard and widen the corridor on turn 9.
17th PZ went into reorg, but this turned out good, for supply situation looks good for them and will launch them NE to widen the gap further.
23rd PZ, low on supply, but did a pretty good job of pushing back his flanking attack. Mannstein has taken over command, new commander not expected until Turn 28 :(
Deep South:
The Rumanians are holding but barely, the 306th Infantry division has arrived and has halted the Soviet attack.
http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axist8.jpg
Nice work! Now all you need to do is get that rail line cleared and you're laughing :).
Great job! - looks like we've got the first picture for the slide-show!
Turn 9 complete, Situation report follows:
North: 2nd GA broke through the Italin lines, he pushed a Corp deep, into my trap. 387th Infantry Division was set, and launched a counter attack. 2nd GA Corps destroyed, defensive perimeter established.
Center: 3rd and 19th PZ Reorg, while 27th PZ launched attacks to destroy his reinforcements. Some success was achieved.
South: 11 PZ manage to circle and destroy a large Soviet force encircled on the broken bridge. See map for Turn 8.
6th PZ launched forward and widen the gap, it is now 20 kilometers wide. In the process they have trapped a large amount of Arty, soon to be destroyed if he does not manage to pull them out.
17th PZ launched attacks NE in coordination with 23rd PZ, large number of Soviet units destroyed. There does not appear to be any significant force left, most have been shattered. But intel could be wrong, pushing forward to secure rail lines.
Deep South: The Rumanians are holding, with the help of the 30th Infantry division, his offensive has halted. Managed a few counterattacks, with some success.
6th Army Pocket: a key bridge was captured near Stalingrad, it blocks any reinforcements, so this was a major success. General Von Paulus has escaped with hvy escort. Supply in the pocket has increased to anywhere from 7-31 (Gamrak has the 31, high is 21 otherwise). Some units with supply readiness orange with 1 at yellow.
The enemy loss penalty went from 7 to 12, so many Russians died :)
http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axisT9.jpg
Turn 10:
Only 2 combat rds, like last turn. Ever since I open up the supply routes to 6th Army, they have been draining my supplies.
North: Minor pentration, tried to encircle and destroy, only managed to contain it. Another pentration along the river further south, but it was pushed back.
Center: Pushed out some, his reinforcements have arrived and it is turning into a grind.
South Main Effort: Widen the gap to 25 kilometers, destroyed a lot of Russian units, especially arty.
Deep South: Manage to encircle and destroy a tank BDE, frontline is holding barely.
6th Army: hammered his encircled units with lots of arty, reinforced the line.
1st PZ Army: The 3rd PZ (reinforced center, trying to take the rail lines), 111th Infantry Division and 16th Motorized (held in reserve). 5th SS Motorized and 7th Panzer still enroute. I expect them anytime soon.
Turn 11: Not as good as I want it to be, only got 1 combat rd. I think the Italians failed to get the orders and we had to send them again, and again, and again
Also, he found my 3 fighter wings I landed at Gumrak and he decimated them with all his long range arty.
I got some revenge, I loaded up a HQ unit and flew him around as bait, hence there were many dogfights. However losing 3 fighter wings will cost me air superiority
North: he continues to press, gain some ground, however I counterattacked and regain most of what I lost, plus plugged up the gaps in the line.
Center: 3rd PZ launched an attack to capture the last 3 rail hexes. About 5-10 klicks away. Unfortunately, 3rd GEB who was supporting the effort, was rerouted to assist the defense North.
27th and 19th PZ pushed forward, with little gains, 10 klicks.
South Main Effort: 15th LFD was withdraw to assist the Rumanians South. 11th and 6th PZ continue to clean out Soviet units SW and west of 6th Army. 17th and 23rd PZ continue to drive NE destroying what is left of the DON front forces south of the volga. This should not last long, I still hold the key bridge across the volga river, and he can't get any reinforcements to them. There is only 1 complete Soviet division, and many broken down units left, so I estimate 3 turns to clean them out.
Deep South: launched a counterattack to destroy a tank BDE, manage to shatter it. 15th LFD enroute...
6th Army: stayed low, shoring up defenses, pulled out 4 Corp HQs.
Pulled 1 division out of the pocket, resting it to full supply to be used as an operational reserve.
1st PZ Army: they finally arrived. Leaving enough to fight 44th Soviet Army, holding 5th Motorized SS in reserve, most likely North/Center region. 3rd PZ is already committed to the Center.
Plan to do another Map in near future. Just in case there are spies :)
Turn 12:
Much better this turn then the previous. I concentrated on command and control and arty preps. In addition only German units were given offensive missions. I managed to get 5 combat rds, the best since turns 2,3 and 4 when we had the shock bonus.
Air War: After losing 3 fighter units last turn and Air Superiority, because of my blunder by landing them at Gumrak, within Long Range Arty, I fired the Luftwaffe commander, and the new commander has regain Air Superiority :) with the help of some long range arty strikes on his AirFields.
North: Situation contained, however he has built up a large force to try to break the line again. If he hits it right, he might get 15 kilometers. However, reserves are in place in order to stop or counterattack.
Center: 3rd PZ and 7th LFD have captured 15 kilometers of rail. 27th PZ launch an attack into his reserves and manage to reduce his combat power. 19th PZ launched an attack towards Kalach with limited success. 336th Infantry Division reorg.
South Main Effort: 11th PZ launched attacks to reduce Soviet forces SE of Kalach, and also secured 15 kilometers of rail (once repaired, the rail line to Stalingrad will be established).
6th PZ has been repositioned in order to strike towards Vertyachi, hoping to cut off some more Soviets. 17th and 23rd PZ continue to hammer at the Don front forces, immediate objective to seize the last 15 kilometers of rail, secondary objective is to destroy remaining Don Front forces.
Deep South: some minor counterattacks, destroying an infantry BDE and shattering an armor BDE. However he has a fresh division in place and he could penetrate my lines. 15 LFD is now in place to counterattack.
6th Army: Launched supporting attacks and provided firesupport to the main effort. In addition bombarded 2 Soviet Airfields.
1st PZ Army: Staring at 44th Army and attacked 1 armor BDE which crossed the safe zone boundary. However 5th SS Motorized Division were given special orders, more to follow in the next few days on.
http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axist12.jpg
Turn 13:
Only 2 combat rds, trying to dig out some stubborn Soviet units.
Still have Air Superiority and Interdiction.
North: launched an attack with 5th SS Motorized to cut his Northern attack off. Manage to secure a bridgehead across the far north river, have 15 kilometers of mountain terrain secured.
Italians are barely holding with German support, hopefully the 5th SS will get some attention :)
Center: continue to grind, manage to secure a few kilomters, only 5 klicks from Kalach.
South Main Effort: had to split 6th PZ, he pentrated the pocket, so I sent the tiger BN to halt it, destroyed a Soviet division, line secured. All 3 rail repair units are in the pocket working hard on the rail lines. 11th PZ continues to press enemy forces, mainly arty left and a few ground units.
To the SE, Don Front forces shattered, however he managed to capture the bridge back, and I expect him to push 2 fresh divisions with arty into the fray.
Deep South, sent 14th PZ from 6th Army to reinforce. 15th LFD destroyed 1 soviet BDE and pushed back 2 more. He has a huge gap in his lines and cavalvry units are about to run wild. He pentrated with 1 soviet division, but not much of a threat, so far.
6th Army, staying low to get supplies.
1st PZ Army: initial engagement with 44th Army, nothing significant.
Turn 14: If you played the TO "early release of 1st PZ Army", do not forget that the supply point in Zimovaki gets cut :(
Ok supply is reduced drastically in the south and all the way to 6th Army.
Did 3 combat rds this turn, lost Air Superiority.
North: 5th SS Motorized cut off the northern road, but the Soviets have reinforced the area, and we failed to dislodge some stubborn Soviet infantry holding the SE corner of the mountains.
The Italian line is re-established, because he sent Soviet forces to deal with 5th SS Motorized. Manage to encircle a division and destroy it.
Center: captured the road next to Kalach, if we hold, will push hard to capture Kalach. However, 3rd PZ Div failed to capture the last rail line, he has reinforced the line with a ton of arty. Did manage to break through with a motorized rifle rgt and was able to find a group of arty which was retreated 2x (disrupted, maybe took out all his trucks).
South Main Effort:
11th PZ is now next to Kalach, so 19th PZ from the center and 11th PZ from the south have Kalach in the middle. 6th PZ manage to capture the road north of Kalach, but only 5 klicks of it. Also manage to push back his attack into the 6th Army.
17th and 23rd PZ has captured all rail lines except 5 klicks (stubborn Soviet defender manage to survive). Supply situation looks BAD, only 7 in the Northen part of the pocket and 14 at best in the general area. Rail repair units failed to repair some rail lines :(
Deep South: He launched a breakthrough attempt, but I managed to encircle it and destroy 2 rifle rgts. Currently have 5 calvary companies in his rear cutting off his supplies.
6th Army: limited attacks, repositioned arty to support defense of Northern sector.
1st PZ Army: awaiting his attacks with 44th Army.
Turn 15:
Regain Air Superiority
Overall, this was a good day for the Axis forces, we manage to achieve most objectives minus one.
North: 5th SS Motorized has managed to push south from the mtns towards the Italians, attempting a linkup, if we succeed, we will capture and destroy most of his arty and a large portion of his troops.
He has manage to pentrate the line, but only on a 5 kilometer frontage, the sides are shored up with German units, therefore he has to deal with them or face encirclement.
Center: The 3rd PZ Div failed again to capture the last rail line and we managed to lose a PZ BN to some AT and Armor units flanking the attack.
27th and 19th PZ continue to assault towards Kalach in order to link up with 11th PZ Division. 11th PZ captured Kalach :)
South Center Main Effort: 6th PZ destroyed a Soviet Rifle Division and manage to regain some ground lost. His attack is halted for the moment.
17th and 23rd PZ continue to hammer the remainder of the Don Front forces trapped SE of Stalingrad and south of the Volga. Captured the remaining rail lines leading towards Stalingrad. 6th Army assisted by capturing and destroying a main bridge over the volga.
23rd PZ disrupted one of his airfields and captured another.
Deep South: Rumanian and German forces destroyed a Soviet Rifle Division.
1st PZ Army and 44th Army: 44th Army has launched an attack towards Rostov and also NE to cut the rail lines, Counter Attacks have been launched with some success, almost encircled 3 Rifle Divisions.
Turn 16:
Manage to maintain Air Superiority.
Launched 4 airstrikes on Soviet airfields and 2 arty attacks on Soviet airfields. AS is 2:1 at the end of the turn (recall I lost 3 fighter units early when I landed them in the pocket within his arty range)
Only got 2 combat rds, because the High Command ordered a large scale offensive operation to destroy any Soviet pentrations. Losses were high on both sides. This could have some dire consequences for not all units were able to dig in and some arty was left mobile. Loss penality: Soviets 21 Axis 11
North: 5th SS Motorized launched attacks to the south and manage to secure the last 5 klicks of mtns. This came at a high cost for the entire division is now combat in effective (RED).
Launched attacks with Italians and German units and managed to seal all penetrations, destroyed 1x Guards Rifle Division, 1x Guards Tank BDE, and 1x Guards Motorized Rifle BDE. This was a major success, for he had a 15 kilometer penetration and only 3 cav companies were in his path.
Center: Soviets launched an attack and captured 10 kilometers of rail line. 3rd PZ counter attack and manage to regain 5 kilometers. 27th PZ and 19th PZ manage to reduce the pocket of Soviet forces dug in around Kalach. 11th PZ pushed out and captured Vertyachi.
South Main Effort: 6th Pz is split with 2 missions, support the 11th PZ attack NW and to defend the Northern Pocket against Soviet attacks. 17th and 23rd PZ continue to reduce the combat capability of the Don Front Forces.
6th Army: continue to defend north and support attacks NW and East.
Deep South: some minor success, operations have reached a culmination point, neither side has enough combat power to do anything significant. 14th PZ has moved to reinforce and are now in operational reserve resting. Once rested, will launch attacks in the south to regain the initiative.
1st PZ Army and 44th Army have engaged but nothing significant. Combat force ratio about equal.
http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axist16.jpg
Turn 17 Axis: Was able to squeeze 4 combat rounds this turn.
Air Superiority is 1:1,launched 5 airstrikes on enemy airfields, and 4 arty bombardments.
Currently the loss penalty is: 12 axis and 24 Soviets
Victory lvl is OV, 157
We spent the turn reorganizing and moving some units around to rest. In addition launching some attacks in the center and southern reagions.
North: Looks like he might penetrate the lines again in the far north. The 5th SS Mortorized Rifle Division is exhausted and they lost their HQ unit :dead: , going to extract and rest when able too, leaving behind some Italians who decided to reorg to cover their retreat. We lost a Rumanian division, they failed to follow orders and were cut off by Soviet forces.
Center: Situation looks tense around Georgievski, he could penetrate the line as deep at 20 kilometers next turn if he finds the seam. Had some bad luck and lost 1x Sich rgt and 1x Rum Corp, and 1x German Rgt (lost last turn). 297th who was ordered to rest near Lissinki has been ordered to reinforce the area, but will take 2 days to arrive. In the meantime conducting delaying actions.
3rd PZ Division conducted some counterattacks, but only recaptured 5 kilometers (back to square 1, 10 kilometers of rail eludes us).
27th and 19th PZ has launched attacks North in order to sever lines of communications to Soviet forces west of them. Limited success so far, Soviets rushed 2nd Guards to the area.
11th PZ and elements of the 6th PZ have potentially created a 15-20 kilometer gap in the vicinity of Vertyachi and they could push towards Kremensk if he doesn't reinforce the area.
6th Army Pocket defense: with elements of 6th PZ, they continue to hold the area while supporting attacks NW and SE.
South: 17th and 23rd PZ continue to mop up Don Front forces, pushing all units to the Volga river and beyond. 23rd PZ has begun crossing operations. Some of our long range arty can hit his airfields.
Deep South: Limited attacks, with some calvary units running loose in his rear. 14th PZ Div made contact with a rogue Soviet contruction unit in the process of cutting Axis Rail Lines.
1st PZ Army and 44th Army: limited attacks, mostly staring at one another.
Turn 18: Had some minor problems, only got 3 combat rounds for a unit went on a suicide attack and ate up 5 rds.
Lost Air Superiority, most of my Air units reorg, and losses are high.
North: Cut off his penetration, 1 soviet rifle division is cut off and encircled.
Center: Pulled 3rd PZ out of the fight, they are now designated "operational reserve". Expect to commit them again, for he is massing 3rd Guards Army between Sovetskaya and Petrovka, also massing 1st Guard Army North of Surovinko (this is the Most dangerous). 11th and 19th PZ continue to attack vicinity of Vertyachi (limited success). 336th Infantry and 27th PZ are to the SW, minor attacks and resting, preparing for 1st GA in case they attempt a flanking manuever.
6th Army and the Pocket defense: 6th PZ supports the defense north and NW with some limited attacks NW (recon unit 15 klicks in his rear, but isolated). Rest of 6th Army continues to support the defense. Soviet rocket launchers massed North, he has massed all their fire, and is tearing up some Axis infantry units. However, he has not committed any forces to penetrate his success (most units are 10-15 klicks back).
SE of Stalingrad: 17th PZ conducting attacks moving North along the river and SE of Stalingrad. Currently slow moving because of the rivers. Had to divert 23rd PZ to attack east towards Solodinki for fresh Soviet forces or reconstituted units are massing in that vicinity.
South: Rumanians and German units destroyed 2 more rifle RGTS, 2 calvary units are closing in on 2 supply points. Manage to break the stalemate by committing the 14th PZ division 6th Army. Expect to roll up the south in a few days if he does not commit any new units.
1st PZ Army and 44th Army east of Rostov, minor engagements, still nothing major to report.
Turn 19: Achieved 3 combat rounds this turn, launched a few counter attacks to seal 4 Soviet penetrations.
AS is: 1:1 (Luftwaffe is hurting, Stavka has done a number on them)
Loss penalty: Soviet 25 Axis 12
OV with 154 points
North: Pulled 5th SS Motorized out to rest and then commit elsewhere. Italians and German units managed to hold the line with some minor counter attacks. Soviet forces have pulled back, I believe he might send them to the center fight.
Center: 27th PZ counter attack and closed the line, where 3 Rumanian divisions disintegrated. 19th PZ and 11th PZ continue to push towards their respective objectives with limited success (Bolshe and Golubaya). Elements of the 6th PZ has joined 11th PZ in order to capture Golubaya.
6th Army and the Pocket: Under heavy rocket attack, but holding. Elements of 6th PZ and 17th PZ are within the pocket assisting in the defense. 17th PZ and 23rd PZ continue to push towards their respective objectives (Volzkskily and Solodinki).
South: Limited attacks, might capture some supply points next turn.
44th and 1st PZ Army: limited attacks, nothing significant to report.
South:
Turn 20: conducted limited attacks, plugged a few holes in the defensive line, began to pull units out of contact to rearm, refit and rest. Manage to get 4 combat rds, because of the limited attacks. Soviet reinforements and replacements are starting to be noticed.
Air Superiority 3:1
Soviet Loss penalty 26
Axis Loss Penalty 13
North: Italians are holding barely, manage to encircle a Soviet rifle division and destroy it with 5th SS MRD. 5th SS MRD exhausted and still trying to break contact (HQ unit killed).
North Center Area: Soviet potential breakthrough pushing SW between Sovetskaya and Petrovka, 20 klicks SW of river now. Committed operational reserve 3rd PZ Div.
Center: Launched counter attacks with 27th and 19th PZ, limited success, some pentration towards Bolshe, however large Soviet concentration of troops, position to breakthrough to the South towards Lissinki. 11th PZ continues to push towards Golubaya, with limited success. 6th PZ Div reorg, so no action for them.
6th Army Pocket: launched limited attacks with limited success. Used a STUG BN to root out some stubborn infantry with some arty support.
South: 17th PZ continues attacks towards Volzkskily, 10 klicks away. 23rd PZ exhausted, 20 klicks from Solodinki.
Deep South: manage to capture two supply points, only 1 attack, might of jeopardized a rifle RGT for potential encirclement.
44th Army and 1st PZ Army (-), limited attacks, NSTR.
Turn 21: manage to get 3 combat rounds, launched some limited attacks, and captured a few objectives.
AS: 1:2
Loss penalty 13 axis :27 soviet
OV with 151
enemy held obj: 6
friendly held obj: 144
North: He continues to try to find a seam in my defense in depth. He might find it this turn for the 1st GA and 7th Tank Corp are pushing between Chertkovo and Degetevo. 5th SS Motor is moving into position to counter attack.
Center: 3rd PZ committed 30 klicks north of Morozovsk, conducted limited flank attacks, his offensive operations appears to be halted.
27th PZ, 19th PZ and 336 ID launched attacks NW towards Manolyn, which has disrupted Soviet attacks towards Lissinki.
11th PZ and 6th PZ captured Golubaya, posing a threat to his flanks SW or NE.
6th Army and the pocket: supporting attacks NW and east of pocket. Otherwise defending Stalingrad and other key terrain within the pocket.
17th PZ captured Volzkskily with elements of 6th Army. Almost across the river complex. Once complete, his attacks on the Pocket will be disrupted.
23rd PZ defending just west of Solodinki, exhausted.
Deep South: Only 1 soviet supply center left, moving calvry units in order to capture it.
44th and elements of 1st PZ Army: NSTR
Turn 22: Turn ended early, :( had a unit suicide for 5 combat rounds, which hurts because I was able to manuever a PZ RGT next to a group of sweet juicy arty  AHH so close.
Air Superiority: all Luftwaffe is on rest drinking "nich sehr gut Russian vodka" and checking out Russian babes in their swim wear
North: One counter Attack, no success, otherwise on the defensive, pulled back some units and dug in. 5th SS MRD is hedl in operational reserve resting.
Center: 3rd PZ conducted limited attacks, but a large concentration of Soviet arty halted it.
27th PZ conducted limited attacks to bag some arty, but 6th PZG unit suicided NW of Stalingrad and ended the turn early :(
19th PZ and 27th PZ units in mobile formation, however 336th stayed dug in, and one PZ BN held in tactical reserve.
6th PZ PN Tiger moving NW slicing into Soviet forces vicintiy Golubaya. 11PZ holds OBJ city Golubaya.
6th Army Pocket: conducted limited attacks, and defending.
17th PZ is threatening Soviet east and North East Flanks. PZ BN from 17th and 23rd are in R&R status. 14th PZ Div is also in R&R.
Deep South: NSTR
44th and 1st PZ Army: NSTR
Turn 23: Conducted very limited attacks, achieved 4 combat rounds.
Air Superiority: 2:0 yes we gained AS but how long will it last?
OV with 151 points, enemy held OBJ: 6, friendly: 144
Loss Penalty: Soviet 28 Axis 14
North: conducted counter attacks with 5th SS MRD, vicintiy of Kantirmirovka, successfully sealed off a penetration. Retrograding forces, as the Soviets have launched a major Offensive between Chertkovo and Degetevo. Canalizing him through the mountains and badlands, so his movements are slow, while I am building a second line about 20 klicks back along the gouge and river.
Center: Counducted a counter attack with 3rd PZ, NW of Georgievski, situation restored.
27th PZ launhed attacks NW Surovinko, almost cutting off 2 Soviet 1st GA Tank BDEs. Manage to hit some arty too. His counter attacks might isolate 127th PZ RGT (supply 1%) :(
19th PZ and 6th PZ launched more attacks NW of Golubaya, but with only limited success. Soviet arty and reinforcements arrived just in time.
6th Army Pocket: continues to support attacks west and east of the pocket while defending against attacks from the North.
17th PZ is now across the River complex and are flanking NE.
23rd PZ R&R preparing for attacks from his reconstituted units which appear to arrive vicinity hex 94/34 :(
South: reached a culimination point, trying to work units in his rear to cut off supplies.
44th Army and elements of 1st PZ Army: Soviets conducted some limited attacks and manage to penetrate the lines in 2 places. Launched counter attacks and restored the situation.
Turn 24: Turn ended too soon, only 2 combat rounds, so limited counter attacks, other then that, NSTR.
Continue to defend in depth, Soviets lack any significant penetrations.
Soviet reconstitution of units starting to have an impact, but minor thus far.
Turn 25: Counter attacked and retrograde operations. Achieved 3 combat rounds, but I failed to capitalize on a breakthrough in the northern pocket region (albeit it was small, I could of destroyed a lot of arty and rockets). Also failed to extract the 127th PZ RGT who is encircled, but in defensive disposition.
Lost AS: it is 1:3 his favor
OV at 155, 4 enemy held and 146 friendly
Soviet loss penalty: 28
Axis loss penalty: 14
North: counter attack with the 5th SS MRD, destroyed a tank bde, and sealed off a minor pentration. Retrograde operations are in place, giving him only 5 klicks a turn, and making him pay for every klick :)
Center: counter attack with 3rd PZ, failed to destroy a 3rd GA Division and an Eng Bde, I expect he will break out with them. 26th ID is now the operational reserve holding Millervoro to either deploy north or south depending on the situation.
27th, 19th, 11th and 6th PZ conducted limited attacks, with minor success. Recaptured Kalinovski.
6th Army continues to defend the north and support attacks on the west and east flanks. Soviets have moved forces to deal with his flanks.
17th PZ continues to push North and east (vicinity Volzkskily).
23rd PZ defending as fresh Soviet units are arriving vicinity Solodinki. 14th PZ is in a reinforcing role.
Deep south: Soviet Tank BNs are trying to sneak through the gaps in the axis lines, one broke through and is headed NW (Kargata).
44th and elements 1st PZ Army: NSTR
Turn 26: overall a pretty good turn for the Axis, achieved 3 combat rounds. Launched some limited attacks and more retrograde operations.
AS: 1:2 his favor (Stavka evap 3 Luftwaffe Flieges :( )
OV 155
Loss Penalty 14:28
North: NSTR, see graphic on troop dispoition (continue to defend in depth, and retrograde, making him pay for every klick).
NORTH (http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axis26north.jpg)
Center: 3rd PZ suffered some heavy arty attacks, Soviets have concentrated forces, looks like his main effort, see graphic:
Soviet Main Effort (http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axis26center-n.jpg)
6th Army Pocket: 27th & 19th PZ launched limited attacks but failed to rescue the 127th PZ RGT. 11th PZ and elements of the 6th PZ launched attacks NW, encircled some Soviet forces. Looks like this area is about to shatter if he does not reinforce it, then I can swing left or right. See graphic:
Pocket NW Axis Main Effort (http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axis26pocket-nw.jpg)
Elements of 6th PZ and 6th Army launched attacks to recapture Kotlubak, did not succeed, too much Soviet arty. I expect to take it next turn, for Soviet ground forces are lacking in this area. 17th PZ is sweeping NE, captured an airfield and pushing towards a supply point. 23rd PZ continues to defend.
See graphic:
Axis Flanking attacks NE of Pocket (http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axis26pocket-ne.jpg)
South: NSTR, axis and soviets have reached a culimnation point.
44th Army and elements of 1st PZ Army: minor counter attacks.
27th & 19th PZ launched limited attacks but failed to rescue the 127th PZ RGT.
lol, the "HELP!" was a nice touch ;).

it seems you are in a very good position
Turn 27: All is well on the eastern front :) Well it looks well, we achieved 3 combat rounds, manage to reduce the encircled pocket of Soviets, closed some gaps, and re-positioned the operational reserves.
AS is 1:2 his favor
OV:157
Friendly loss penalty 14
Enemy loss penalty 30
North: Soviets manage to sneak a calvery divsion, 10 klicks in my rear, but cut off and an Italian unit playing tag with it.
Launched some counter attacks, destroyed a few Soviet units.
Center: launched some limited attacks, and reduced the encircled pocket of Soviets down to 2x Tank BNs.
6th Army and the Pocket: failed to take back Kotlubak, but close (he has a ton of fire support and I can't find any German units to volunteer for a charge  )
17th PZ Div captured the supply point at 94 29
South: NSTR
44th Army and elements of 1st PZ Army: NSTR
Turn 28: The day was ok, had some minor successes. The troops are exhausted, and there appears to be no end to the Russian hordes, they just keep coming. Running low on ammunition, petrol and horse meat.
Combat rounds (100% 70% 40%)
Lost Air Superiority 1:4 his favor (5 axis to 55 Stavka planes lost)
OV: 161 (148 axis, 2 stavka)
Axis loss penalty: 14
Stavka loss penalty: 30
North: Kantirmirvoka is in jeopardy, flanked on both sides now. Positioning 5th SS MRD for counter attacks.
Another possible pentration vicinity of Bokovskaya, failed to destroy an encircled 3rd GRD. Preparing to retrograde, also establishing another defensive line 20 klicks back.
Center: Possible Stavka major attack vicintiy of Kalinovoski. However, 27th and 19th PZ are attacking towards Ronin, and once captured can turn towards his main effort in an attempt to cut it off. 11th and 6th PZ continue to support attacks on their flanks. 6th PZ recaptured Kotlubak, and manage to pentrate another 5 klicks north.
6th Army Pocket: took a beating from massive arty attacks, lost 3 rifle rgts (evaps from arty :( )
17th PZ and 23rd PZ launched attacks towards Solodinki, with relative success. Many of his units are shattered, but friendly units are near exhaustion.
South: NSTR

can we see a .sal?
Panzerpelle: I will send you a sal if you want (send me an email), I would rather post pictures. Just experience, once I accidently posted a .sal and the very next turn, the enemy hit me in all the right spots :( (of course OKH had the officer shot who inadvertently gave away the battle plans  )

North (http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axist29north.jpg)
Center: launched a two prong attack, some success, however worried about 147th PZG Rgt/27th PZ Div, could get encircled, left in a moble status because of the turn ending :( This has left many units in the NE area exposed, and they could of penetrated further  Still something he will have to deal with. 3rd PZ and 26th ID attacking NE, OBJ Petrovka. 27th PZ, 336th ID, 19th PZ and elements of 6th PZ attacking SW, OBJ Manolyn. Ultimate OBJ is to encircle and destroy Soviet Main Effort.
Center "Two Prong Attack" (http://www.mercsofdurin.net/images/axist29center.jpg)
6th Army Pocket: argh, Soviets recaptured Kotlubak by massing all of his arty, 2 rifle rgts evap :( In addition fresh Soviet Divisions have arrived, going to the defensive.

Turn 30: Very good day for the Axis. Combat rounds where much better, after OKH had some insubordinate leaders shot (100%, 70%, 40%, 20%). Axis Offensive is underway, CODE NAME "Geht Weg Soviet Swine" hopefully this will sidetrack the impending Soviet offensive. ......OKH intercepted plans for operation Koltso with the primary OBJ being Stalingrad.....

Center: offensive continues, 3rd PZ Div had some limited success and 26th ID is in the process of digging out some fortified Soviet units. Further NE, 27th, 19th and 11th PZ with elements of the 6th PZ captured Ronin, and is on the outskirts of Manolyn. This has cut the road suppling the Soviet Main Offensive vicinity Surovinko.
6th Army Pocket: preparing for the Soviet offensive, all forces are fortified with plenty of arty support.

I expect an offensive to be launched from that area; however I plan to retrograde and make him pay for every klick.
6th Army and Stalingrad: continue to defend, and slowly extract the 23rd and 17th PZ Div in order to fortify my positions around Stalingrad.

44th Army and elements of 1st PZ Army: Soviets launched an offensive push, however, Rostov is secured with armor and infantry.
I plan to put together a detailed AAR, and post it here, once we finish the last turn. I think it was a very exicting scenario, especially turns 1-15, then afterwards trying to figure out where he will attack and hitting him, but the late offensive I launched code named 'two prong' really disrupted his offensive.
Argghh Turn 42: It lasted another turn, and the Soviets failed to capture any objectives, however now he has another day to attempt another assault.
