Scenario designers, let's have an update. What kind of juicy projects are you currently working on?
Has anyone thought about Desert Storm II (now that it seems probable...)? This could be an interesting scenario is setup properly.

I'm currently playtesting Baltic War 1938, it started off as a local conflict between Estonia and Latvia / Lithuania. However iv'e decided to go for a Russian invasion of the Baltic states (After Germany's annexation / invasion of Czechoslovakia Russia feels left out).
The first game went quite well, however I feel iv'e made the Russians too good as they took control of Estonia very easily. The Estonian units are the strongest in the region, however as soon as Russians enter Tallinn then the game ended for Estonia as they surrendered. I may allow them to fight on, as they have an entire Armoured Division to field (NO other Baltic State has one in 1938).
Also the Russians in the Winter War of 1940 against Finland were basically rubbish, I wanted that feel of the Russian army in this campaign. Sort of a juggernaut in the form of Russia rolling very slowly over Estonia and into Latvia and Lithuania, where as in the first playtest the Russians simply struck headlong towards Tartu and tallinn, the Estonians gave up and left Latvia and Lithuania to fend for themselves.
The game had some good points, the Battalion sized units were good, I always have trouble with size of Units, once had 33 Squads per Company in another game lol.
Well any suggestions would go down a treat.
Thanks for your time :D

Hi I read in your post that you are doing a scenario of the North and Centre front in Eastern Europe 1942.
I just had a couple of questions.
The Germans objectives (North) were Leningrad, or rather to wipe it off the face of the planet, ae you attempting to re-create this? or simply to capture it.
Are the Finns taking part in your campaign too, as they did in a limited scale in WW2?
If you'd like a copy of a good Finnish Order of Battle for early 1940's then let me know and i'll send you one.
Best of luck with the campaign, i'm really into the Russian-German conflict in the east at the moment.
P.S In WW2 the Russians fell back and defended the major cities almost to the death, Rostov, Kiev and a few others, the Germans lost heavy amounts of Infantry in these cities, are you going to re-create this too? because basically the Russians let themselves become 'trapped' inside these pocket-cities.

So far, I've decided not to include the Finish front. The map will end just north of Leningrad. Historically, the Finns halted at the pre-1940 borders with Russia, and thus weren't directly involved in the siege of Leningrad. As I mentioned, it's still in the early research stage, so I'm building up the OOBs, and researching the operations.
Leningrad will be a major objective for both sides, as will the Rzhev salient. However, there was an almost continuous string of Russian attacks into the German line, all along the front. That will be the basis of the scenario.

You are aware that Ilkka Mutanen has made a scenario covering the North front and the Finnish one? Its called decision in the North. Just wanted to ask because I have my self begun designing scenarios that was already made.....

I went back and checked the Decision in the North scenario. My scenario will be based around exclusively the defensive battles (plus the attempt to take Leningrad) of Army Groups North and Centre during the summer/fall of 1942. As far as I know, no such scenario exists yet.
