Retail giant Best Buy has listed Halo 3 as being released on November 16, 2006 for the Xbox 360. Yeah. That's this holiday. Right before Black Friday. Say, that just also happens to be one day before the North American release of the PlayStation 3! How 'bout that.
Didn't Microsoft mention something about that? I think so. Oh here it is. Bill Gates said—"radiant with bloodlust" according to Time magazine—that "It's perfect. The day Sony launches, and they walk right into Halo 3."
Now, keep this in mind: Best Buy has had the following previous release dates for Halo 3 - 11/16/2005 and 5/15/2006. Maybe they've got it right this time, but I wouldn't recommend Xbox fanatics hold anyone to this date. Michael McWhertor

If it was so complete Bungie/Microsoft would of at least gave us some gameplay footage at E3 not like a 2min trailer....

no chance. i agree with sprigner. They would have shown gameplay footage or made it available as a playable demo. It'll probably be released like spring 2007.

hmmmm... I dissagree because we still have the tokyo game show to come yet. So we coud see some more development there. Interesting marketing strategy though...
I dont think they could get most of the game done before then? Imo it'll be rushed if this date is true.
It'll be released when Bungie have finished it - Microsoft don't need H3 this holiday season, they have Gears of War.

I dont believe it and I wont. I could write a whole report on this but I'm too lazy and tired and I just woke up. First Why would the trailer say Halo - Finish The Fight - 2007. Also why not debut the game the year the movies out? Dont you see a pattern going on here with Bungie?
November 2001 - Halo
November 2004 - Halo 2
November 2007 - Halo 3?
Bungie is so fascinate by the numbers 3 and 7 (I honestly dont know why xD) that it'll be perfect to launch Halo 3 on November 2007.
Lastly to sum it all up - I want to hear it from Bungie Themselves :)
Meh Im too tired to continue.
Talk about clashing with the ps3, i'll probably get it when it comes out on the PC ;)

maybe theyre not done...:rolleyes: ....we will never know :D ....yeah,and forget about malls being packed,start thinking about PS3 campers brawling Halo3 campers....Id be on stand-by with a video camera and a bat,watching Halo fanboys run around looking for SMGs when the PS3-fanatics are chasing them withnail filers to execute them...Snake's style :cool:

Maybe it won't be finished upon release, they might jump on the bandwagon and release half a game and then force the player to buy updates to complete it... :rolleyes:

Also another info why it wont be out that date. All games/systems/dvd's etc are out on a tuesday. If PS3 is out on a tuesday, and Halo 3 is suppose to be out the day before that'll be a monday aso ha. This whole thing is fake. Anyways who trust's Best Buy xD. I'll be back with more info!

Last year I made a thread that gamestop was realeasing Halo 3 June 30th, 2006. Is it coming in 2 days from today? NO! So retailers dont always have the right info.
Lol, but Halo 2 isn't even out on PC yet, could you imagine how long you would have to wait for Halo 3 for PC? :eek:

Yea the flood isnt that good =/ But the other 2 are great. Also they're coming with a Graphic Novel and Another Book =D :up:
