Hello All,

I can read in TOAW-COW's manual that air units attacks suffer from a 66% or 33% modifier in Hazy and Overcast weather, respectively, considering they are not all weather units.

My doubt is where should I look for the real weather? Sould I consider the weather briefing window information only? Or should I really look in the weather icons over each hex in the map?

If I should look in the cloud icons over the map, what they mean? I can see that we may have small and large white clouds, small and large grey clouds and small and large rainning clouds. Does that mean anything?

Just another thing... how can I change my flag in this forum??? :cheeky:

Weather briefing is a general, overview. Use the weather icons to determine actual weather over a given hex.

I don't actually know but here's my guess:

white - overcast
grey - hazy
rain - duh :)

As for little and big clouds, maybe it determines whether warplanes attack at 66% or 33%.

Thanks MikeJ!

Does anybody else have an idea of what the cloud icons means? Overcast, hazy, fair? My opinion is that no clouds is FAIR, white clouds are HAZY, grey clouds are OVERCAST and rainning clouds are light (small ones) and heavy (big ones) precipitation. The size should not matter only for rain...

One comment (of course most of you knew it), I just noticed in the Bastogne scenario, moving under clouds highly reduce the enemy interdiction (no test made, but I am sure in that...).

I never check the weather outlook or bother with the cloud icons, does anyone really?

Well, in Bastogne I got 79% interdiction, so I desparatly look for anything to avoid it...

If interdiction is bad, try this. Move one hex at a time. So if you say had a 20 hex movement rate and got hammered all the way, slow down a bit.

I think this works. Worked for me as the British in the Singapore scenario anyway.
