front line units, guard back area objectives... against what? commando's...i usually guard my rear area with AA units, its a bit better for the bridges

logical thinking, you wont use a supply unit equipped with trucks only for front line duty.

Dont use HQ's for front line duty unless you are desperate, if they get wacked the entire formation theu belong to gets a profinciency penalty.

its a game, you know commandos: behind enemy lines.

the only danger in my rear normally consist out of guerillas, air attacks and the occasional massive air drop.

but the latter always needs special attention, guerillas can be hunted down by a rag tag force , as long as you can surround them Six Sides
