View Full Version : ORBAT Search
Would anyone happen to know where the best place to get an Order of Battle is? I'm trying to find several. I've looked around the internet for quite a while and haven't found what I'm looking for. I'm in need of a modern Irish OOB (Yes.. Ireland vs. the Crown.) Any help would be appreciated.
If you're prepared to pay for them, www.orbat.com has an excelent OOBs for Ireland (there's a pretty good free Army OOB available at: www.orbat.com/site/orbats/data/ireland/armedforces.html which mirrors information available on the Army's offical site at: www.military.ie/army The subscription version has more information on support units, but isn't vastly better then the free version)
www.scramble.nl and www.hazegray.org should have lots of information on the Irish Air Force and Navy respectively.
Thanks for the info my Australian friend. I might actually get a subscription to that first site. The "Irish Defence Forces" website is bare bones, I'm going to check out some Irish Republican Army sources also, I'm definitely going to incorporate them into the scenario.

Laughable. Try the Ireland on Fire Scenario for a taster. Ireland vrs the crown, your a funny guy. LOL Amusing though. I have played the Ireland on Fire scenario with some changes, you know the sort nukes, chemical weapons etc. nothing better than nuking dublin and sending your Para's raping and pillaging across the villages and hamlets.
P.S
Don't forget the IRA are western terrosist and as a reusl are very reluctant to die for the cause. This should be borne in mind when making a war scenario featuring dirty stinking coward terrorists.
